Any news on Haye for the Nov 7th clash with Valuev? Gone VERY quiet - not even a venue confirmed yet! Itching to book the flights...

Sorry, you are right it was. Just worried its gone so quiet.
Cobra - please don't tell me to 'piss off', thanks. Unless you are Carl Froch and then you can tell me why the T-shirt I ordered of your merchandise site has still not turned up yet...

From what i hear the Valuev vs Haye Fight hasn't been officially sanctioned by the WBA yet due to John Ruiz's Protesting it because of his Official Mandatory Status so it could mean another Heavyweight Title Fight having to be cancelled for Haye!
This could mean he'll be Frozen out from a Heavyweight Title Fight till 2011 as i doubt Wlad or Vitali will have anything to do with him anymore and Valuev will probably be tied up Fighting Ruiz and Chagaev till than too.
Maybe he should stop whining about Contracts Stipulations and clauses and actually EARN his Mandatory Status by Fighting other Contenders the way Eddie Chambers and Povetkin have done.
There is a Chance he may go through 2009 without having a Fight which is crazy considering these could be his PEAK years as a BOXER.
If he had had 2 Fights this year against the like of Chambers, Ruiz, Maskaev, Kevin Johnson, Dimitrenko...he would have earned an Official Mandatory Position by now.
Anyway for his sake, he bet hope the WBA sanctions this Fight!

What did Ruiz do to become a mandatory challenger anyway? In his last fight he got dominated by Valuev, who has now beaten him twice.
I think a fighter who has been handed mandatory status in such a situation should be a bit more humble and not get in the way of good fights.

I think he should have to go through the mandotary process as a win against Monte Barrett is hardly warranting a title shot he needs fights though

The WBA have been inflicting John Ruiz on us for nine years now. Can't they just kill him?

I know Haye's had some serious bad luck as a promoter, given Setanta folding and all.
And I think David Haye is great for boxing, his run of fights from Gurov, Johanesson, Fragomeni, Abdoul (ok cross that one out), Bonin, Mormeck and Maccarinelli is one of the best, most honest, and most interesting winning streaks that a British fighter has been on.
But his heavyweight forway is a monumental eff up! Admitting he put on some quality cards, but would any of this bullshit have happened to him if he'd had a proper promoter to look after his career?
He signs up to his next 3 fights away to fight Wlad, then probably ditto when in comes Vitali instead. Setanta folds, he "gets" a Valuev fight, and now the WBA won't sanction it. Imagine if he loses in Germany and it never even was for a title? He'll get some right stick.
How many ppl has Haye pissed off in the business, on top of all this? It's been so long since his last fight that I've sort of forgotten who he is.
Though naturally I hope he KOs Valuev, then perhaps beats Ruiz for the title and shoves it up the Puerto Rican's arse!

I love to watch David Haye but his inactivity is really starting to piss me off.
He should fight some top 10 guys and put himself in the mandatory position.... I just wonder whether he thinks he might get sparked before he gets the chance to fight for a world title.

It certainly appears that way.

Haye has done wonders for Britishboxing and his career up to now has been sensational - not afraid to fight the best and create a bit of a stir in the press with his sh*t talking. Hayemaker also put on some fantastic shows on setanta - all looked like it was going great.
Then Setanta went bust and it all seems to have f*cked up. Haye pulls out against Wlad and then effectively pulls out against Vitali. Then Valuev is announced and it has all went quiet without even a venue confirmed.
Hayemaker need to make a statement about what is happening. Fans lost money after the Wlad situation and if fans end up losing out again then Haye is not going to be a popular man

No one should be booking Flights and accomodation till there is an official confirmation from the WBA that they've sanctioned it as a World Title Fight
The Fight is scheduled for November 7th in Germany
What is ominous is that JOHN RUIZ is on the undercard against TBA
When Don King is involved, its best to be safe than sorry. I can see a scenario where he saw the Ticket sales Haye generated for the Wlad Fight and wanted to do the same with Valuev but knowing that there was a chance the WBA wouldn't sanction it and therefore at the last moment have to Drop Haye and put Ruiz in against Valuev instead but by than Thousands of tickets will have been sold so it wouldn't matter.
Anyway Haye needs to come out and tell everyone what the situation is very soon as alot of Fans have to plan up to 8 weeks in advance to attend sporting occasions especially ones in another country.
Hopefully the Ruiz problem can be solved with some step aside money and the Winner facing him next.
One thing i will say though is that if Haye can not have 3 Fights next year than i'd probably rather have Valuev win. Hayes inactivity over the last few years has been pretty shocking.
Ideally i'd want him to beat Valuev in November, than take care of his mandatory against Ruiz by March next year which would leave him to make Unification Fights against Vitali and Wlad or whoever the IBF/WBC/WBO champs are for the Rest of 2010.

why cant haye just fight to keep busy and keep the money comming in instead of just sitting about it seems to me that haye is very difficult to deal with he goes on as if he.s the biggest name in boxing and he isnt he needs to prove him self at heavy before shouting his mouth off i cant stand the fella and hope he gets owned in his next fight

I'm a big Haye fan but there is no way i'll be paying to see this fight in Germany after last time. Once bitten and all that.
The interest for this will be nowhere near what is was for the Wlad fight. The hype has been non existent, Valuev is known more as a bit of a freak than the heavyweight champ and almost all of the people willing to travel have already been let down. His fanbase is hardly going to have gained any members in the meantime is it?
Haye and Sky need to get their faces out there and start reminding people this fight is happening

i was just reading on BS that the fight is likely not to happen as John Ruiz is the official contender and won't step aside. I could not think of a more boring fight than Valuev -Ruiz. A shame for Haye as he has only boxed once in about 16 months.

Is Haye vs Valuev actually signed? I won't believe it until these two chaps are photoed together.
