I would like to see this one. Good fight if it is made.

Would Duddy be the favourite?

I would say Lee would be favourite, somewhere in the region of a 4/7 shot.

Both get hit far too much, and because of this it has the making of a great fight. As someone said, a cross roads fight. Surprised at Lee being installed as Fav, Id've thought Duddy would be.

I'd have Lee as the favourite. He's a little bit vulnerable, but is a better boxer than Duddy and should win a decision.

Duddy has the better record and is more proven. I would have thought that would give him the edge.

I would fancy Lee he has good boxing skills whereas Duddy looked very poor in his last 2 fights I think he can be outboxed and Lee is a good boxer I see a UD for Andy Lee

Thing is Alex, Lee is a good boxer, but its only a matter of time before he gets drawn into the trenches, somewhere duddy is quite familiar with. We'd learn a lot about Lee's mettle, thats for sure.

But I think against Duddy Manny Steward would tell him and convince him to stick to his boxing skills and not to go to war :TU:

I think Stweard did against the Latvian last time out, must be something in the irish water.

I think the bonus money is matterless in the grand scheme of things. I know a few people in the Lee camp and the bottom line is he and Manny would be taking this fight purely to try and move up a few notch's on Horse's next P4P rankings.

possibly one of the laziest most borint myth in boxing along with "Benn and Eubank were over the hill when they fought Collins" is that Duddy is a hype job.

Duddy aint a hype job - everyone knew his limitations and never shyed away from facing it. More popular than other fighters more talented? Sure. But over popular doesnt equal over hyped!

Good post that, I mean, nobody whatsoever gave him a shot of beating pavlik, everyone knew he was going to get the shot on popularity.

again I think you are missing the point. No one was hyping him, everyone knew that he was a car crash waiting to happen but that was part of his popularity. Glad we sorted that out. ;)

Plenty people were hyping Andy Lee, some of the nonsense Steward was coming out with was cringe worthy.

The hype around Lee was huge! The next big thing, speed, power, great technician, former Olympian with boyish good looks, etc...... Then he ran into Brian Vera and has since shown he aint all that.

did I say Lee wasnt a hype good. FFS Manny was saying he was the new Hearns before he had a pro fight - turns out he was right he is just as good as Ronald Jnr!

Lee is a known hype job indeed.

It's worth remembering that he used to handle Sutherland very easily in the amateur ranks. Completely outboxed him every time they met. The pro game is different, but...
