I will start off with one

Mike Tyson V Tervor Berbick - for a young 20 year old to go out there and destroy Berbick the way he did in such explosive manner and become a WBC World Haevyweight Champion so young in his 1st world title fight - secured Tysons name in boxing history that night - to be mentioned alongside any heavyweight that has ever been.

Roberto Duran

Im going to be really controversial here and say his performance against barkley was one of his best. Okay, so not the young animal that fought Buchanan, but Duran roleld back the years against all odds and won himself the middleweight title that night.

Corrales-Castillo 1

Both fighters were seen in a different light after the first fight.

I knwo we're only allowed one each, but can I throw James Toney Evander Holyfield into the mix.

Toney hammered Holyfiield that night, and whilst Holyfield was old etc.. etc... Toney became only the second person to finish Evander in a list that includes (before him) Tyson twice, Lewis twice , Bowe twice (the third time Bowe Ko'd him), Holmes, Rhman. And since Toney Ibragimov and Valuev.

Ali v George Foreman

It wasn't his best performance but to beat Foreman after all that time off and regain the world title made him the greatest

I think that's a bit of a myth encouraged by Buchanan to be honest mate, as while Duran undoubtedly played fast and loose with the rules, does anyone on this board really believe the result would have been any different if he hadn't? No, didn't think so.

Maybe the result would not have been different, Buchanan was clearly behind at that point. BUT, the low blow was well after the bell and was genuine pianfull shot. Duran should have been DQ for that. Buchanan was a hard man and not the type to look for a way out. He must have been in some grief after that punch.

As for the question at hand, I think Barry Mac`s win over Pedrosa (although ageing) was a classic performance

Buchanan says it still hurts now when he goes to the toilet because it ruptured his testicle (didnt it).

I agree, great performances ! But with regard to the Naz and Calzaghe being against "limited boxers (hindsight)", to be fair Naz (as good as he was) was having his first fight at a new higher weight, straight in with the champion in his own back yard. And Lacy wasn't limited BEFORE the Calzaghe fight. He was an animal that many thought would beat Joe. Lacy has never been the same since that night, Calzaghe ruined him. Both deserve HUGE credit for those nights.

Great UK selection BIGMARK. Benn has to be my pick.

Duran should've been dq'd against Buchanan it was a hard full blooded low blow that deserves a DQ
