I'm not a fan of these defences against fighters in the same stable all the time.

Didn't predict that result though.

Now that the WBO title is held by someone he knows 100% that he can beat expect Bute and his promoter to start talking up a fight between Bute and Stieglitz in a unification, should he beat Andrade.

Hope Balzsay is OK

Surprising result though, Stieglitz vs Bute is the only REAL Fight to be made for either guy now.

They are not from the same stable - Stieglitz is from the SES (Steinforth) stable.

I thought Balzsay was enough of a talent to win defenses like these. He didn't seem to feel slighted at being left out of Super 6, and no wonder if he can't get through routine title fights.

Universum - they appear to be on the way down. TV contract cutbacks, 12 shows a year down to 6 apparently.

Unsuccessfully tried to block the Campillo-Shumenov war - WBA title, Kazakhstan, far more competitive and ambitious than anything the parallel Universum have done in recent years.

Inkin - beaten by stablemate Balzsay.

Balzsay - battered by Stieglitz.

Chagaev - layoffs, illness and a beating from Wlad.

Kotelnik - outclassed by Boy Wonder Khan.

Sturm - has let Universum, barely even won his last defence (Gevor).

Dzinziruk - hasn't even defended his title this year, says his contract will illegally renewed, wants to make a clean break and "never fight for Germans again".

Alexeev - stopped in WBO Intersomething/eliminator (though I rekcon he can come back and do well, as fellow cruiser Haye did).

But cheer up - they still have light heavyweights Zsolt Erdei and Jurgen Brahmer. Erdei, considered a disgrace of a world champ who defends vs American journeymen. Brahmer, who won a fight on the weekend. Perhaps they will fight each other.
