It is billed as Bailey v Urango but surely they will show both fights. Won't they? Think I can avoid the result for a day.

Believe me Woods vs Cloud can ONLY be seen in the UK and Ireland on SecondsOuttv.com ESPN are only showing the fight in the states/north America. SecondsOut also have the exclusive UK rights to Woods vs Cloud for up to 72 hours after the fight. SecondsOut are showing more than 30 LIVE fights over the next 12 months plus other on demand fights. if you sign up for a six month subcription you can get the Wood/Cloud fight FREE. Worth taking a look at least. Secondsouttv.com

Five and ESPN both claim no interest in boxing - we've all seen the emails, which did the rounds on bringbackbunce.net
Meanwhile, SecondsOut has been putting boxing on our screens for 11 years - let's support them now and not wait until other channels need us as viewers/subscribers.

Adios.

No Woods vs Cloud is not on ESPN. ESPN did not have the budget to buy the UK rights. Lets give SO a chance here, apart from Sky who else is gonna broadcast British boxing?

So ESPN are showing Urango V Bailey but not Cloud V Woods even though its on the same bill,
if its true then that really is pathetically lame and pointless.

Didnt seconds out claim to have 100% all of wladamir Klitchkos fights on their web site, nobody else could possibly show them in the uk... then sky showed 'em.

Muttley can you please declare your interest? This isn't British boxing. This is a feed of a US ESPN broadcast involving a British fighter. SecondsOut tv is not a format I for one am interested in watching boxing on. If they (you) have secured exclusive rights then fair enough, but the numbers you get will be pitiful in my opinion. Ten quid to watch something on your PC at daft o'clock is not a viable price/product.

Urango. Urango. Urango. This is a joke, right? ESPN will soon serve up an empty ring with a steaming turd in it. And we...well, we will just sit and take it. Have you all sent emails in support of the BBC petition from last week's Boxing News? I hope so. If we don't make our voices heard, the turds will arrive.
By the way, take a look at the quality of Hatton's online coverage from last week's show. It's excellent.
Adios.

PS: All 12 Tour dates are secure. The website, www.buncelive.com, goes up later today. Urango will be my special guest in Sunderland.

When TVs are able to easily pick up streamed products and the quality is good enough Seconds Out could be a viable option, messing about hooking the laptop up to the TV or cramped up round a PC screen isnt something I want to pay for. Whats the picture quality and framerate like on SO anyway?

I also doubt SO have the buying power to buy any particularly big fights. I mean if you cant get the anoraks like us buying it you can't be making too much money so you cant buy too many fights.

In fairness to Five Steve, and don't get me wrong I've been sending in the emails about your show and boxing in general for YEARS - I want to see both the Bunce show and boxing on as much TV as possible... However, Five have tried various football "talk" shows without that much footage... and while I thought they were really good (John Barnes football night)... obviously ratings were not great and they were scrapped. I remember Saint and Greavsie only lasting one season after ITV lost the premiership rights.

Five also tried the "sexy girl" angle with their football for a season, by having Sophie Blake and Sarah Cawood suggestively on a bed talking about the beautiful game... that was scraped after a year and was on a shoe string budget. So I imagine, it wasn't pulling in the punters/sponsors needed.

It seems like alot of TV companies feel the need to actually show footage whilst doing a magazine style show - even Setanta were showing boxing long before the Bunce Hour. Maybe the campaign to Five needs to be shown in terms of viewing figures for boxing events.... and then push for a Bunce Hour style show. I really do fail to see, despite the posts of Mr Galaxy on here, WHY TV companies don't want to give boxing a fair crack.... viewing figures on ITV show that it is still a hugely popular sport. Harrison vs Williams generated over 8 million viewers - only shows like the X factor beat that. I can only imagine what something like Hatton vs Lazcano would have generated.

We need to really generate an email with facts and figures and really pitch the email... about live (or any) boxing, and then look at a Magazine show. Five seem to be the most prepared to maybe take a gamble... they bought replay rights to Skelton vs Rogan and did their own production for McKenzie vs Haymer quite recently - but really the presentation of these sucked and that had a huge bearing on their viewing figures.
