Moore should already be European champion and should have already had a couple of fights for a World title.
He's been so unfortunate what with injury, pull outs and circumstance and that seems to have earned him a lot of good will - I think pretty much everyone I have every spoken to about Moore has nothing but praise for him.

THE BRAWL FOR IT ALL!!

THE BRAWL FOR IT ALL IS ON!!!
THE biggest all Brit clash of 2009 will take place on Friday 23rd October when Jamie Moore defends his European light-middleweight title against Ryan Rhodes.
Promoter Frank Maloney has also applied for the fight to be given eliminator status by the WBC which means the winner could become mandatory contender for Sergio Martinez’s crown.
The venue for this cracking punch up is yet to be confirmed by Maloney, but he expects it to take place in Manchester or Wigan.
Maloney said: “The fight is a natural with so, so much at stake.
“The winner will almost certainly get a world title fight next year, while the loser will find it hard to come back.
“I think Moore will win and go on to beat Martinez, but Rhodes is dangerous particularly early onand Jamie faces a tough night.”
Moore (32-3) is a former two time British champion and won the European title earlier this year by blasting out ex-world champion Michele Piccirillo inside three rounds.
In the Salford southpaw’s first defence he hammered one time Russian amateur star Roman Dzuman and is back on track after a bout of swine flu postponed a defence in July.
Moore, 30, will start favourite but knows that his Sheffield challenger will give him the hardest night of his career.
Rhodes, 32, first became British champion at the age of 20 in December 1996, but lost his way after losing a WBO middleweight title fight against Otis Grant a year later.
The southpaw (42-4) had rediscovered his best form recently and is on a seven-fight winning streak regaining the British title and winning the WBC international belt – belts he subsequently relinquished.
Ticket details will be released in the next couple of weeks

Should be a great fight 2 contrasting styles, 2 fighters who are on their last chance saloon and a good domestic scrap I see Moore wearing him down before KO'ing him late. Moore looks on top form of late he's very strong at LMW and will be to tough for him I think

Arena holds around 3,000 right? Is that really too big when McDermott-Fury will sell out a 2,000-seater venue?

Maybe they can 'dress it down' to a smaller capacity?

Sorry, didn't see that Terry had mentioned Bolton.
I was advised it was under wraps for now.
Bolton Arena it is.
It won't need dressing down.
There will be a strong undercard as well as a good main event.

Mickey,
Really have no idea just yet, but there's a lot of interest this side of the Pennines.
This is a straightforward commute as well, unlike the O2 and Belfast !

The fight itself should shift them, imagine a fair few people will want to make the trip to wherever the fight takes place, it is a cracking match-up, lots of stuff going on in there, and two good guys duking it out in a fight neither man had to take at this stage.
Big thanks to Jamie and Ryan for inking the fight

yes,i will probably go just for the match up.no alegiences to either.normally would cheer rhodes but i have met jamie and he is a really nice bloke
