Khan v Murray could be on for dec according to Roach.

Murray should concentrate on Thaxton then Mezaache to get on to the world stage, even then i think Khan would be too quick and Murray to easy to hit. Khan to win by wide UD.

Sorry, I'll be dissapointed if this comes off now. I want to see Khan continue in world class, and John fight at world class first.

This fight would not be acceptable if Murray was not British.Imagine if Haye beats the big fella and announces his first defence is against Chaz Witherspoon.

Hatton won't be fighting again this year, so Khan should fight somebody else this year and try to get that fight next year.

Murray's the best in Britain and I think that Khan has got to his level too fast and when he has been truly tested by an aggresive fighter he has stuggled.

Murray is an aggresive fighter and is not worried about getting hit, while I think Khan has realised that he hasn't actually got much of a chin.

In all realities this would normally be a top end British title fight or a European fight. I don't think it matters if Khan has a world title or not because he's lucky in some ways to be at the level he is already.

I think if the fight went the distance then Khan would win on points but it could easily be a knock out victory by Murray.

Don't thin k this will happen

Great fight if it comes off, if Khan doesn't shift Murray early I can see him getting turned over.

Murray seems the type of guy who would take this fight at a drop of a hat. if he sails through thaxton unscaved, then why not fight again with a 2 month camp for what would be his biggest pay day.

It's definately a fight I want to see........ even if it is belated and at the wrong weight (presuming it's at 140)

hopefully this will be mid december to allow murray to do both because iv already got my tickets for him and thaxton

I'd like to see this fight too. Sounds like a cracker to me. Khan has definitely improved based on his last performance, but Murray can hit and is economical, and if he cracks Khan and lands flush definitely has the power to hurt him.

It just makes the world title belt even less meaningful. Khan didn`t deserve his chance cos he never fought at the weight .. and his 1st challenger hasn`t either

Good match-up ... terrible state of affairs that make it possible for a world title belt though..

I hope so I thought Khan would aviod him but obviosly not I see 2 things potencially happening

Scenario 1) Khan outboxing him using his speed and reach and hitting and moving and winning a wide UD

Scenario 2) Murray overwealming him and cutting the ring off and catching him before KO'ing him in the mid rounds

I cant decide which one I see happening

Frediie roach has said john murry is a likely opponent for khans WBA belt in december nothing has been finalised but he is looking the most likely

personally i think this is a disgrace khan never foght at LWW but got a title shot now murry is doing the same but because khan wants an easy opponant this should be for the lonsdale belt at lightweight and happened a year ago

I agree mate this is just what british boxing needs!!!murray is ready to step up..he is just as good as salita in my opinion should be a great fight..i could see kahn stopping murray at light-welter because murrays defence is poor..but he has a good chin and is an exciting come-forward fighter..i am praying this fight comes off!!

well, this fight is for the british market, khan's paymasters are sky, and they have to put at least a few fights on that british fans want to see. i think sky have really upped the level of khan's opposition - prescott, barrera, kotelnik - and obviously they want something for their money.

if it's on, big opportunity for murray. big prize in sight, etc.

if it happens, i hope murray smashes this expensive TV fighter! smash his ribs in, knock his head off . ribs in, head off , ribs in, head off! (not literally)

it will be tough though. khan has learned how to box defensively and has world class experience. i believe murray can do it, but he could be outboxed for sustained periods by an opponent who could be a stylistic nightmare. i believe in good old fashioned manchester pressure, guts and body punching and reckon murray has the quality in him to find a way to do it.

after been at the kotelnik bout.i can only imagine what would happen if this came off.inner-city riots?
