Yep i'm going, few of us going. One of the lads is actually a Forest fan (lives here now) so think few of us might go to the match aswell.
it was indeed i had a great night met mick hennessy and tyson fury that night as wellDeserter wrote:Gutted I can't go to this as I've moved abroad again, but I'd recommend it to anyone with a pulse - I drove up for his fight against Pascal and unfortunately was a force of one as no boxrec'ers were up for a meet-up, but still had an amazing night. The atmosphere was absolutely electric
So while I was there as billy no-mates you were mixing with those guys - no need to rub it in fellaAdamj1987 wrote:it was indeed i had a great night met mick hennessy and tyson fury that night as wellDeserter wrote:Gutted I can't go to this as I've moved abroad again, but I'd recommend it to anyone with a pulse - I drove up for his fight against Pascal and unfortunately was a force of one as no boxrec'ers were up for a meet-up, but still had an amazing night. obviously the Venue's the Ice Arena??
is it this Super 6 thing, or does that start next year??.......fill in the blanks boys....cheers
I think I mite go, should be able to get a Travel lodge for about 20 notes this far in advance, I expect to pay something extortionate for the ticket, £75 unreserved? but it's not that extortionate considering the level the top guys are competing at.chrisfinch wrote:Venue, TrentFM Arena, NottinghamNorthEastBoxingFan wrote:this is massively embarrassing for a man of my considerable boxing knowledge but can someone tell me:

This will be the second fight of the World Boxing Classic super 6, after Abraham v Taylor earlier in the night. Froch is defending his WBC title in this one.
I was really tempted to go, and I might still do, but shiiiittttt the undercard looks absolute gash. I know Hennessy's turned up some tripe undercards in recent months but this about tops them all and is putting me off going. If I do, I'm gonna have to get steaming drunk to try and pass the time.
Apparently the first fight is about 8.30, last entry is 11.30 and the fight is on about 2am. There is gonna be a lot of time that night with nothing happening.
Glover-amar is gonna be a great fightchrisfinch wrote:Venue, TrentFM Arena, NottinghamNorthEastBoxingFan wrote:this is massively embarrassing for a man of my considerable boxing knowledge but can someone tell me:

I'm a Glover fan so I'm hoping he wins tomorrow. If he does, he'll be off this show as there's no way he'll challenge for an English title when he's already Commonwealth champion. But its a shite undercard though honestly. It might be passable for a small hall show, but this is a big time world title fight and Hennessy has just gone "fornicate the undercard, people will buy tickets anyway".Adamj1987 wrote:Glover-amar is gonna be a great fight
young mutley has been put in a decent fight
jack perry is a good young tallent he took care of karl taylor fairly well when i saw him live
£45 for "premium" tier seating, £30 for the cheap tiers, then I think £125 on the floor and £300 ringside.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:I think I mite go, should be able to get a Travel lodge for about 20 notes this far in advance, I expect to pay something extortionate for the ticket, £75 unreserved? but it's not that extortionate considering the level the top guys are competing at.chrisfinch wrote:Venue, TrentFM Arena, NottinghamNorthEastBoxingFan wrote:this is massively embarrassing for a man of my considerable boxing knowledge but can someone tell me:

I think the atmos' will be immense, Froch coming in to face the young, fresh, slick, entirely unknown quantity which is the American. This could have banana skin written all over it. However, if he does get beat, due to being guaranteed another fight at least, he should still be financially set for life.
yea thats right me and the GF have front row floor seats - thats only 6 rows from ring and right near entrance walkwaychrisfinch wrote:

Not totally sure about the prices but there's a rough idea. I'll go for the £45 ones if i decide to go, but I'm gonna have to decide shaprish I reckon.
what does that actually mean though?Adamj1987 wrote:yea thats right me and the GF have front row floor seats - thats only 6 rows from ring and right near entrance walkwaychrisfinch wrote:

gf's sister and BF have the 45 quid ones
Im in block 15 aswell, the £50 tickets?chinny wrote:Premium tier will get a very good view. They are the ones I've gone for (I'm dragging a few non boxing pals along). Think I'm in block 15. My view for Pascal was excellent.
I'm a bit worried about the lag before the main event, I really hope they put a big screen of Taylor Abraham on somewhere close.
