I again received such a call last night & had spoken to police today. Thought I'd share it with you in the event you haven't heard of it

Should you get a call on your landline, claiming to be e.g. Nerang Police telling you they need to access your neighbour urgently, but can't due to security door/gate (= Bullshit) therefore, would you assist by pressing the hash key (#)


DON'T DO IT!!


If you do, technology is such, it'll pinch your Caller ID enabling them to make calls using your number.


Simply hang-up, note the time of the call and report it to police and service provider.

Every time I get a phone call and I don't know who it's from I hang up pretty much immediately. They usually happen right when you're about to sit down for dinner. There's always a pause of a second or so before someone in Asia starts talking at you

As for this one, never heard of it. Must be a QLD thing and we all know about them QLDers.....aye?

Don't know how widespread it is, but police seem to be well aware of it.
Maybe they & service providers are trying to keep it under wraps until they get on top of it?

Mate I'm in the industry, and i haven't heard a thing, and i'm normally aware of these shenanigans, must be tight lipped the boys in blue.

Can you get me free phone and interent dawg? Actually first of all it would be good to at least work out some coverage in my area so I have an opportunity to get it, free or otherwise

The Dawg will probably need to know the region in which you live.....so I'd say you have no chance of help then.

Had a guy the other week from this site wanting me to stream fights from Aus, was more than willing to help out until he wanted my address to send the necassary equipment........Kind of lost interest after that. Po Box maybe, but i'm just too lazy
