"present company excepted of course" I generally find the letters in BN so banal or arse kissing I usually skip them now. Shame as it used to be one of the highlights of the paper.

I haven't bought a copy for a while as I don't live in the UK anymore but remember reading the odd letter from some young amateur's parent claiming how his 13 yr old son had been robbed, only for the father of the victor to respond the following week saying how the other dad must have been blind etc. That was utterly pointless IMO, but I don't have a son who boxes yet, so maybe I'm being a little unsympathetic??

I get those read out frequently on his new show (BBC radio) and the last few shows he did on Setanta. I am 'kosaros' (Bunce pronounces it wrong!), so you may have heard of some of the stuff I had read out :)
For boxing news, I have not had anything published, although I haven't sent anything in so I guess that is expected!

Alex Paterson's brother has had a letter in boxing news before though

Have had 2 published, several years ago. One made specific criticisms of Sports Network, which the following week received a printed apology in BN directly from Sports Network. Never thought I'd see the day.

a few letters..usually slagging off BN for giving headlines to the baubles.
in particular i was not happy that the abc titles that Clinton Woods and Nicolai Valuev picked up where considered , 'historic' achievements ?????
im still livid now
but at least they were printed
got an angry response from Stephen Foster snr
