Shannan Taylor's next fight will be against Queenslander Les Sherrington for the World Boxing Foundation super middleweight world title at Gold Coast Convention Centre on Friday, November 27.
Taylor will be going for his third WBF world title belt on the fight night, which will be televised live on Fox Sports.
This was the first world title Taylor had held before relinquishing it and winning the WBF middleweight belt.
"I respect Les Sherrington. He's a gentleman outside the ring. A lot like (former International Boxing Organisation world middleweight champion) Daniel Geale," Taylor said yesterday.
"He's a tall fighter and he's 27 years of age so I will train really hard for this fight with (physical trainer) Dale Fritz and (boxing trainer) Bradley Gallagher.
"I'm going back to win the WBF super middleweight title and hopefully set up a fight with Daniel Geale."
Taylor is livid at the way he has been treated recently by the Anthony Mundine camp. "I was meant to fight in Tasmania on October 21 on the same card as Geale, Mundine, Robert Medley and myself but (Mundine's manager) Khoder Nasser did not want me on the card," Taylor said.
"We were all meant to fight each other next year.
"Mundine's management are scared of my power. They know that Mundine ran away from me the first time (when Mundine won on points at WIN Entertainment Centre in February this year).
"Mundine keeps talking about going over and fighting the big guys in America like Kelly Pavlik and Bernard Hopkins but he never goes.
"Someone like me at 37 pushed him, Daniel Geale pushed him and probably shouldn't have lost.
"I exposed him, Daniel Geale exposed him. Then he keeps mouthing off about the big guys in America."
"Mundine's got no power. My little sons have got more power than him. He's a fraud.
"The refs allow him to turn his back. He did it against me, he did the same against Daniel Geale and he gets away with it."
