Please don't ban me for advertising; I just thought this milestone should be noted.

Our first issue came out on September 1, 1909, making the September 11 2009 issue our centenary. Without plugging too much, there's a special 40-page pull-out about the last 100 years in boxing history and four extra pages in the main mag too. No extra cost. Hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed putting it together and here's to another 100 years (for the mag, not me; I have not discovered the key to eternal life!).

Very much looking forward to it. I've been spoiled today also as I've been on me summer hols so missed the last 2 editions so started cathing up with them today, shall make sure they're read before tucking in tomorrow.

do you save 'em mate.....are they in random piles around the house.....in shoe boxes...lovingly packed away...?......do you ever dig out an old sweat top and uncover Audley Harrison front covers proclaiming his imminent World Heavyweight domination......(2003, 2004, 2005 etc....I don't mean lastweek lol)......or Scott Harrison in victorious pose (ah, yester year)......I used to love to read mine in the bath after a workout, Friday ritual....hence a load of mine have gotten a been wet and dried out look to them.

Will I ever read most of them again, nope probably....can't chuck em out though...I dread to think what it will be like if I'm still buying it in 10 or 20 years.

I probably started buying around 6 to 7 years ago when I was first made aware of the publication, when it was in the bigger format.

Also......what order do you read it in........me..........60 second interview, Letters page.......Whispers........Fight Preview......I tendto spend less time on the write ups as I've usually watched it already.

i live in the North East and last week the Royal Mail sent me a lovely letter...............for a woman in Portsmouth. Our streets have the same name......well actually similar, not exactly the same. I'nt that sweet....

22 years for me. Every week never missed. Ive kept every copy, most are in my shed or garage. I dig a few out and have a good read up in the bath. Was just reading about Robert Dickies comeback in 89, in the bath about half hour ago.

When my first kid was born I had to move them from his bedroom to the shed. Pain in the arse that was.

I've been buying it for 18 years, introduced to it in the Mullan days ( )

Stopped subscribing when more fights moved to Friday (no point in a preview after the event), but still buy almost every issue on a Friday.

Look forward to the special issue. I'd like to see some reprints of less reflected on but hugely important fights, like Chavez-Randall

I've got all my A4 sized ones in plastic wallets in files. The bigger ones that were out between 2000 and 2005 are harder to look after tho.

I've only been buying them since around 2002. I have some early ones but TBH I wish I would have kept them all. I've not been thrwoing them away for the last few years but it seems a bit of a waste of time coz I never keep them anywhere in particular so I have stacks at my dads, stacks at mine, stacks at my mates where I live when I'm working and stacks everywhere else. Started boxing them up but I think i'm gonna buy 2 tomorrow. 1 to read through and read in the bath etc etc. The other i'll put in a wallet to go with all my programmes and such

FFS, there's a 40-page section especially for the centenary. What more do you want?? In the main mag, the week's events will be covered as usual. In that regard, M Hatton is a fair subject this week.

First one I got had Dave McAuley's title defeat in Spain, in March (?) 1991. Around the same time, started buying Boxing Monthly (first one I got previewed the Tyson-Ruddock rematch) and the first ever issue of the short-lived Boxing Outlook (previewed Holyfield-Foreman).

Bought BN and BM religiously without fail as long as I've lived in the UK and I think any true British boxing fan should do likewise.

Buy it in the shops, then. It will come direct from the distributor rather than relying on Royal Mail. If your nearest newsagent doesn't stock it, he can order it. That's how I've always done it and 9 times out of 10, or more, it has been there on a Friday morning on the way to work.

Boxing outlook! I remember that now. Similar size and format to BM, but lets be honest, pretty dull generally.

Yes. I liked it at the time because I'd just discovered the sport and was hungry for any material I could get, but yes, it didn't really do anything different to BM.

Used to order it from a local newsagent (for perhaps 10 yrs or more) and it didnt solve the problem entirely - it was late less frequently, admittedly, but rarely was it available on a Friday morning (thats what comes from living in the sticks I suppose )

Started getting them in 1987 .. most were thrown out or lost
But kept almost all complete since 1991 ... except a month or so a couple years ago when I tried to do without out of protest of the higher price, too many pix .. not enough boxing news.

They are kept in some type of order in plastic clip-boxes in garage .. along with some Ring/boxing illustrated/BM mags and the old amateur news paper.

I much preffered the old Harry Mullan days style. No nonsense - just boxing news.

I started buying them in the mid-1990s but if only details of Naz were in it. I was a massive fan of the Prince. Still am. Been buying it religiously every week for about 10 years, although through various sources have managed to get back issues all the way back to 1993.
