Think you will find Haye copped a nice £300 fee for his comments from SS.

So what? His opinon was valid as he's the best British Heavyweight by a country mile. He gets paid the money whether he's nice or acts the egotistical tosspot. He chose to be a class act.

Exactly. If only someone else could follow that example...

HUH WHAT A SHOCKER!! :o A world class athlete receiving a fee for his time... unbelievable. What next eh?? you'll have newspapers paying for opinions of promoters and all sorts of...oh... hang on....

From personal experience I know Haye will talk and talk (and then talk some more) for free to pretty much anyone, he just enjoys talking about the sport (and everything else). The most enjoyable interview I ever did to be honest... and yes, he came across as a class act on Friday :TU:

And your master (Wazza) doesn't get paid a penny to ridicule, humiliate and decimate boxing (as a sport) in his Sun column?

According to Wazza, boxing is...

...not as good as it used to be. Full of over-protected fighters with brittle hands and brittle chins. Nobody's got any money anymore and TV won't touch us with a bargepole. There are no good fighters and no exciting fights on the horizon. Everyone in the sport is a wanker.

Joe Public picks up the paper and this is the perception of boxing they get. Nice one Wazza! That'll make all the Sun readers want to follow these 'wankers' involved in awful fights'.

£300 and a shot at the Sky Sports P4P title if he wins his next fight.

Yeah I thought Haye represented himself really well on Friday and wasn't snobby in the fact that he's the best Heavyweight Britain has to offer at the moment.

He could of quite easily put the fight down or taunted Fury in some way or another.

I hope for all of his show man ship he beats the beast and does what he wants to do to the Heavyweight scene and really shake it up.
