Who is the more talented?
I say Witter.

Its a case of natural talent vs consistency.
Woods may not have the ability that Witter had, but he was consistent. Wheras Junior was excellent against Harris, yet awful against Bradley.
Not sure.

Witter is the more talented.
I like Woods but anyone who thinks he has more talent that Witter is delusional.
The fact 99% of the boxing world call him an overachiever sums it up for me!
In a back alley ( steady Hugh Johnson/Hitnahhatton1 – it’s a phrase that denotes a street fight and not the bottom love that you are so fond of!) I would gladly have Woods by my side, but in the ring Witter!
Power? Witter
Chin? Equal
Heart? Woods
Stamina? Woods
Defence? Witter
Natural Ability? Witter
Haircut? Woods
Speed? Witter
Consistent ? Woods
Witter wins by split decision.
The thing is - consistency does not come into it - Danny Williams is more talented than Skelton, but Skelton is more consistent.

Easy one to answer. Woods is definitely more talented. Had Witter been given the same chances as Woods, he would not have done as well. Witter has flaws that detract from his talent. Without changing either boxer, Woods is more talented. You could argue Witter is more talented only if you change some of his traits, but then you are changing him.

I'm sorry, but consistency is part of talent.

Woods,
I think Woods shows pretty darn good 'basic' stand up boxing and performs well most of the time!
Witter shows; "well! does he ever show..?"
threw away his best chances because of his own arrogance and pride, thinking he was the better man and "it's a cert", and as I said shows nothin'.

Watch Ole Klemetson fight. Woods went down pretty good in that. He got up to win though!

Williams and Skelton.
Who is better? Who is more talented? Consistent?
Williams - Skelton - Williams.
Woods is a basic (good) fighter!

Talent is a word used often to describe people like Christiano Ronaldo, Floyd Mayweather JNR Ryan Giggs or Rafael Nadal
In the case of those above all are easy on the eye, skillful and generally you would pay good money to watch them.
The other thing with the other three is that they work damn hard at their skills, are consistent and make the most out of what they possess.
Talent is not normally used to described the likes of Claude Makalele, Clinton Woods, David Batty, Paul Collingwood or Jimmy Connors.
In the case of those above you often find adages like hard working, gritty etc etc.
Invariably though when the smelly stuff hits the fan you can rely on the second group more often than not whereas the first group only the really special front up and produce.
'Talent' is overated and is not the right barometer in terms of measuring achievement.
So on that score...................
Witter or Woods
Woods by a country mile - made the most of what he had, won world titles, never quit in a fight.
Witter - wasted talent by chasing pipe dream with Hatton, didn't want to throw punches and use the obvious talent he had, quit in a fight (no disrespect meant but the truth nonetheless) and did not achieve what he could have done.

Wrists

Confidence and arrogance are definately two very different things. Confidence and ability helped Woods to achieve, whereas arrogance has been Witters downfall. The fighters mind plays an enormous part in how far they succeed. When things didnt go right for the arrogant Witter he went from bad to worse. Woods on the other hand accepted all his top fights would be difficult, but used all his skills, and usually got the decision. Witter is a very skillful fighter but his attitude lets him down. Woods was for me the more complete fighter.

It's amazing how many people think they are the same thing though.

Clinton has never won in the US - he underperforms. Witter at least has a win abroad!
