Thanks for the message, Frank. Please take it easy and definitely don't put any blame on yourself. From the article I read, Darren was going to see a therapist later that day. No-one could have known he would do this. It's very important you don't blame yourself.

And, as I said, take it easy! Don't work too hard!

I feel faintly ridiculous giving advice via a boxing forum to a grown man who I don't even know, but I do hope that Frank takes some advice and stays off work for longer than a few days.

I know it's not a good time for him to have lots of time on his hands to think -- and God only knows the fella looks beyond gutted -- but he needs to realize that the doctors aren't saying this because they're "guessing" that "six weeks off sounds about right" or that they're used to dealing with softies when they don't realize how tough Frank is.

They're saying it because that's what he needs.

Someone should remind him that there are people who love him and it'd put them through hell if he took a turn for the worse.

Meantime, nobody will think any the worse of him if he takes some proper time off given what's happened.

A heart isn't like a kidney or a lung where if you you lose one you can just about get by.

Frank you should rest get yourself better before you return.

nice one frank....but for gods sake keep away from your desk, get out of hospital and take that well deserved wife of yours for a weeks break in the sun, and dont take your bloody phone !!!

I think the last thing you need Frank is a BBoC tribunal after what you've been through. Think of your family for a moment and the scare that they have suffered.

I'd get the OK to fly and head somewhere warm, sunny and relaxing to reflect and understand the turn of events.

When your in the eye of the storm, like Frank is, it feels strangely calm and normal, but he may come down with a big bump unless he unwinds right this moment.

Frank, rest is vital for you at the moment! You MUST rest no matter how eager you may be to get back to work! It might drive you mad not being able to do as much, but just rest up for a bit!

Its easy to say & obviously Boxing is stressful, but try not getting so stressed in the future! You went berserk at Fury-McDermott. Ok, you had a case for doing so, but its not healthy!

You're a character & well-liked, so take our advice & put on the dressing gown & slippers, just for a little while!

I was expecting to see union jack pj's!!!!!!

Have a good rest, enjoy the nurses attention!!!! and once well enough come back with the passion you have for the game.
