Took some finding but a friend got his hands on it plus some other Dirrell fights.

Interesting how he got lumped by a 7-4 nobody. I know Froch will land and it will be big, so this is interesting.

heh. notice how Dirrell lands a really nice counter left on the other fella, knocks him a little bit off balance, so gets all excited and tries to throw the same punch again but as a bigger, more wound-up lead southpaw left. rookie stuff but i suppose Dirrell was just that at the time.

Yea, this video shows dirrel has pretty good recovery rather than a bad chin in my opinion, that was a pretty flush shot, thanks alot for the clip.

froch will clout him more than once..but will he get up from that, the dancing twat !!

This guy has very little lateral movement, Froch is going to destroy him and i wouldn't be surprised to see it over inside 6rnds.

Showtime were filming Carl today on a run and in sparring, they are filiming him having a meal out tonight.

All part of a 24/7 style show that will air before the main event.

I wish we could see a bit more of it, rather than the knock down on its own. It's unfortunate for Carl that it looks like Dirrell has a decent chin.

I agree - short nights work for Frochy!!

It's already been said, but that video's anything but a chink in his armour showing, that shot landed flush as you like and he got up like it was nothing. Not good news for Froch.

I'm pretty sure Froch would have taken that shot well, certaonly it wouldn't have floored him.

Dirrel could win this if he stays focused - thing is, I don't think he'll be able to resist a bit of clowning standing in front of the slower fighter, and Froch has a nasty habit of finding the right shot late in the fight..

I'm surprised he didn't take a knee after that - it was a good shot. Carl punches harder, but I think he concentrates on that power too much. At times he's virtually planted there, as if to say: 'You throw summat and I'll have a go; let's see what happens.'

Taylor's reply was 'Nah, you're all right - I'll stay out here and let you load up.'

Dirrell is buzzed badly and is given a standing count before being allowed to sit on his stool.

No he's not been down as far as i know.

They reckon he was buzzed by Omar Pitman but it didn't look that bad to me, more like a stumble.

Yep he shows a great chin to get up from that. The other guy might not be much, but he gets a free roundhouse swing at Dirrell's chin - and those type of punches that swivel the head round like that, are usually knockout punches.

He wont want to take too many like that from Froch, but he's going to be very aware of that fact now.

Should be a great fight. Froch to win late on, but Dirrell could deliver another Pascal type surprse..

In fact, you could say that both Carl's world title fights so far have been surprises, as neither went as expected.

Froch has a guy called Ronson Frank in camp.

He's American and looking at his record he didn't seem to hot, but in the flesh my mate says he pretty decent.

He chatted with him after and he was chief spar for Tarver, Andrade and a fair few others. But he says he just wants to get a break in the game and not been known as a good sparring partner.

He is a good 2 inches taller than Carl, southpaw and quite skillfull indeed.

I think there are 3 southpaws in total who do 2 rounds each with Carl then swap.

There's another southpaw from Notts called Gary Mayo who never turned pro, due to an issue i wont go into, but he was a double junior ABA champion and extremely fast hands. He's the same height, stance and everything as Dirrell.

At the time, Mayo was the no1 in gym when him and Carl were both teenagers. He's also been giving Carl some great Southpaw sparring.

Might get some footage up.

Thanks Gomez, great insight. I read an interview over on ESB that they were going to fly over some ‘secret’ spars. Any idea on who these may be?

Any chance of getting Chad Dawson over?
