Well done to Kel, a boxer cannot win it twice can he. Otherwise surely Khan would have won it.

I'd have give it to Kell as well, but it was basically a toss-up between him and Clev. Both will go on to do BIG things IMO

Does anyone know where the Boxing Writers Annual Dinner will be held? I’m sure its some hotel in London. It’ll be good to see Brook presented with the award but think no one could have argued if Clev won it. I’ve been lucky enough to watch nearly all Clev’s fights at various venues and he is getting stronger and stronger. He is a world champ in the making and won’t shirk anyone.

I have checked Boxing news but the only awards ceremony i can find details on there is the British Boxing Board of Control awards ceremony on 29th November. I was referring to the Boxing Writers annual awards which is on Monday 19th October. Any ideas? Or am I completely missing the details on Boxing news? lol

Cleverly should have got this, Brook a close second.....but good luck to them both.

Nah Cleverly shouldnt have won in my view - Brook is a clear winner and the best prospect this country has in my view!!!

I wouldn't say a clear winner.

Kell is a great young fighter, but - and this has nothing to do with me being Welsh! - one has had six fights and the other three in the last 12 months.

Both have won them all, of course, but for me Clev has made the slightly bigger impact.

That said, I like Brook and he is a breath of fresh air, just what the sport needs in Britain at the moment - young, exciting talent and not afraid of a challenge.

Anyway, good luck to them both....
