Thanks for putting up the results T!
Just to say - and I'm not about to turn into the 'shameless plugger' - but when we launch
http://www.vipboxing.tv please take a look at two of todays fights:
Chris O'Brien v Carl Allen
Alex Matvienko v Omar Gumati........
........and compare your scores with the 'official' verdict.
I'm saying no more.
Next VIP show, October 31, Huddersfield.

Must admit Matvienko is always in a good fight and todays turned out that way! Could have gone either way and a draw is fair on the pair of them!
Thought O'Brein was a little lucky, Carl Allen really showed up today and gave it a proper go!
Shayne Singleton finished his fight well!
Tansey was unlucky, saying that though a tall, gangely southpaw like Paddy Ryan would be most people nightmare for a debut!
Of the lads today i thought Chad Gaynor stood out as the best, most talented! Showed decent punch power, good speed, nice variety and didn't rush like in like most prospects would!

want a bad show at all and yea matvienkos fight was a cracker thought the result was fair and would definately watch a rematch.
imo chris o'brian shouldnt have got the decision againt carl allen, paddy ryan proved to be a very difficult awkward fighter to be put in with on your first fight as a pro, but think tansey can go on from this and improve in the future.
so all in all was a decent afternoons boxing, better than staying in pulling one off over the hollyoaks omnibus

Good points T - but I think people have to see the fights to see what I mean re the scoring.
Anyway - looking forward to seeing you in Huddersfield - have a good week in the gym.

Having seen Gumati, who is a local lad, fight on several occasions as an amateur and pro I'm surprised he managed a draw with Mat.
Must have put in a hell of a performance, or was Mat not at the races?
Or was it a bullshit decision?

To be fair hook, he boxed really well against thomas when he beat him in the ams, but then thomas figured him out and beat him in the return, something I fancy Alex ( under tutiorlidge of Oliver / Humphrey) would do should there be a rematch.
Also worth noting Thomas beat Alex in the ams, so they're (alex & omar) not to far apart in terms of amateur form. The pros granted is a different sport altogether.

Yea result prob fair result, i started slow then got into it but didnt feel my usual sharp, non stop self felt flat so gritted it out instead of let the title slip, had him hurt a few times especially in the 9th with a left hook to the body and 10th a couple of times but he somehow managed to spoil me and get through the round (bring back the 15 rounds ha ha), he boxed well good game plan nearly worked

i enjoyed it and so did the fans not making no excuses just one of the days but still a good punch up and yeah can do it again??
yeah remember mine an thomas fight, at bolton town hall, we had a good punch up there he won by 1 point i think?? good scrap thou again that was non stop i remember blocking most of his shots with my chin!!
