Anyone else fed up with the bookies constantly at ringside getting asked their opinions etc? I couldn't care less what they think or how much money they are making. I tuned in to see boxing. A bad part of the show in my opinion. I've seen it on Sky shows a few times.

But on a good note I enjoyed the prizefighter and it looks like Sky are putting on some good shows in October. Really looking forward to the night of Brook/Jennings & Smith/Quigley!

Yeah I don't want to see adam smith having a fake conversation with a fat bookie before a fight. Show the odds on the screen, but i don't care about a bookie

actually i didn't mind it, found it quite interesting how far down Barrett had been backed.

Dale Tempest I've noticed that he's always at the Prizefighter shows. With a name like that he could be a 1950's B movie star

I think they are trying to broaden the appeal of boxing- and fair enough. "Having a flutter" on a tournament or race etc (of any kind) does add to it's appeal- it gives you a reason to cheer for a particular horse, or boxer!

With so much of the one sided shite that we get nowadays the only viable bet is when will the fight end, which is kind of boring. It's not as much fun chanting "Hold on 'til round five" ... etc!

So I'd say it's a good thing, adds another angle to it. Also, if the gambling industry takes an interest and offers financial support in the form of advertising and sponsorship, then it helps the sport.

If they're going to speak to a bookie then ask him about odds and trends, not his personal view of the fights.

Used to be a footballer, certainly played for Huddersfield and I think Fulham
