3 low blows.....the 3rd one a point deduction....(in a 4 round fight)........Not so much as a touched glove by way of apology. I hope Byrne knocks him sparko.

Byrne boxed his head off in the last...Fury had a point off already.....the ref didn't even look at Byrne at the end. Straight to Fury hand raised. Both commentators didn't agree. Normal service resumed.

Is it just me or do the Furys come accross as well a bit what youd call at school 'special'
inbreeding?

The commentator got it wrong , too- Byrne didn't gain a point for the low blow- his score means that one round was given even.

mate 39 - 37......i need a pen a paper to work out these things......i'll take your word for it. I wasn't really scoring it but Byrne clearly, CLEARLY won the last round.

I did spend the first 5 minutes flitting on Boxrec between Fury's and Byrne's records and wondering why the fck I was watching this boy on Saturday night prime time tele. It's fckin ridiculous. Is this Mick Hennessy's work or ITV's do you reckon?

Whatever it is it must scare the refs. I do get flashbacks of the film 'deliverance' myself whenI watch the Furys. Tyson should do his ringwalk accompanied by a toothless guy playing a banjo very fast. Itll be an improvement on his recent rather naff walks to the ring.

it's just the way that after a very conspicuous 3rd knockdown, and a full 2 break where the lad was down in agony from this illegal shot...to not apologize or touch gloves shows a distinct lack of class to me. Has he actually had any amateur career as such because to me he looks like he's just been hitting a bag in the garage.

And to be honest his opponent seemed to be unwilling to hit him back until the low blows. Very peculiar fight really.

Not to mention a dodgey haircut as well. Maybe if tyson and Phil had their hair out of their eyes they wouldnt be needing such freindly refs :TU:

i agree with you all. I thought phil got beat too. His corner was rightfully dissapointed with the result.
Phil was simply walking into punches, his hands were too low, but he did keep himself busy.

I think the entire budget went on the Murray-Thaxton fight, plus Tyson Fury. When he pulled out they couldn't get another decent fight on at short notice.

Either way the ref didn't give Byrne a round. According to him Fury won the last round??
I can see a lot of people loving to hate the Fury's at this rate

The scoring would appear to be

Round 1 10-9 Fury
Round 2 10-9 Fury
Round 3 9-9
Round 4 10-10

This would mean that in the refs mind, the fight was already won by Fury going into the 4 round, unless he was put down or stopped/DQ.

Fury did seem to edge the third round sightly, although I'd have called that a draw.

I thought Phil Fury lost the fight. My card looked like this I think.

10-9
10-9
8-10
9-10

38-37 for Byrne.

I had Byrne up
10-9 Fury
10-9 Fury
8-10 Byrne
9-10 Byrne

38-37 Byrne

Couldn't believe the ref gave that decision. Walked into punches, no defence, no power. Got picked off from half way through the second and also a point deduction.

Crap refereeing. No excuse.
