But you still reply to the thread :-? .. best keep eating the mints eh :TU:

I watched it and afterwards kinda wondered what the show was setting out to do?? it didn`t seem to have any direction apart from highlighting what we already knew about Enzo Calzaghe .. he`s mad as a hatter

Did anybody catch last nights instalment?

It didn’t paint old Enzo in a very good light at all did it!

It would seem from last nights program that his empire is falling apart around him, and he is so wrapped up and intoxicated in his own celebrity that he doesn’t even see it.
The people and boxers around him looked exasperated, and with good reason I’d also add.

Kerry Hope came across as a fantastic young fella who could see the writing on the wall, where as James Todd did very well to not flatten Enzo when he kept slapping his face when you could clearly see Todd had had enough.

I don’t see the Calzaghe gym staying open for too much longer. Once Reese and Pryce move on/retire he will have nothing there to attract future talent.
It clearly highlights that it’s the boxer who makes the trainer - and not a trainer making a boxer.

Enzo came across as a totally self obsessed, if his fighters had any sense they would bail out ASAP.

Not having a pop mate, just pointing out how pointless I think this programme is.

I think this program is one of the very few `fly on the wall` programs that is interesting. I too was dubious at first - but it has been a bit of an eye opener and cast greater light on some of the rumours I`d heard concerning one or two things .. def worth the half hour.

They are making reality shows about everyone these days

First Joe goes on Strictly Come Dancing

Now Enzo Calzaghe is got his own reality show

Cant believe how low the Calzaghes are stooping to stay in the limelight

They made a few million - Calzaghe didnt want to fight on and face, Froch and Dawson or rematch Hopkins

So why dont he just piss off

But no they will whore themsleves out to these crap shows to stay in the limelight

They can do what they like - but all that - "I'm just simple old Joe - I dont do showbiz"

I think JC might pay him a visit if he did.

I am sure some of them would chin Enzo if it were not for Joe slapping ( literally :OhYes: ) 7 shades out of them!

:DDD

Nah - Joe is not that hard

He is a boxer - not a street fighter

He has not got the menance of a hard bastard

He was just a good athelte

For example - Sakio Bika lost to Joe in the ring - but he would batter Joe in a street fight - I'm sure.

Flint island - you got some real bad Calzaghe issues by the look of it fella.

Strictly dancing isn’t a fly on the wall program. It isn’t even solely focused on Joe Calzaghe.
This Calzaghe clan program is a four part series. Hardly at home with the Osborne’s.

I think its clear that Joe isn’t comfortable in front of the camera. You almost feel his awkwardness  .. Where as Enzo … I really got the impression from this show that he pushed Joe for his own ends rather than Joe’s. Enzo clearly craves the attention. :-?

As for Joe not having this or having that … I’d bet my house, away from the cameras and face to face Joe would have more than enough menace to persuade you otherwise. :TU:

i've heard enough of him taking about himself when he was interviewed on setanta before joe's big fights with kessler and hopkins, and mac's "defining fight" v haye.

I didnt rate Enzo as a trainer and I still dont rate him as a trainer. You can see why all these kids are leaving and it's no surprise that Todd who's a good fighter has gone to America to train.

Enzo think he's better than he is, he's just a big mouthed Italian who's leaving off the success of his son. Calzaghe could have been trained by anyone and probably still be unbeaten.

:TU:

That show was much better then expected, none of the Calzaghe self promoting BS but more about Enzo's attempt to bring through a new generation of boxer's without Warren's money and TV dates.

after last night I couldn't agree more, the whole thing was a shambles, I'm surprised it was aired! He lost two of his best young fighters and the other got beaten...

The fella writing the article is echoing what I`d previously said :(

Some people had previously claimed Enzo Calzaghe was on par and sometimes ahead of the Ingles ... how wrong they were :(
