Any plans for Mark Thompson to eventually step up again? Since Vuma he has done very little and welterweight is loaded currently domestically.

The bill is starting to look fairly good though, so long as they don't overdo the world title business.

Yep, back on.

I wonder if the second doc's opinion was massaged by an increase in wages from Hatton Promotions to go ahead with the fight?
The money is there, as proved by getting N'dou to England in the first place. Was a nasty cut by all accounts. Anticipate a controversial stoppage in this one.

Would be nice to see Mark step up and face a domestic challenger, someone like Lomax. Horta was a decent opponent, he went the distance with Klose and also has since fought for the french weltrweight title, the EU welterweight title and also the IBF international light middleweight title.

At 21-1 Mark does need to be in fights that will push him and progress him, not so many of the 10-8 guys he's been in with recently, the last one was terrible, did he throw osmething like 8 punches in one of the rounds!?!?

That'll be a decent fight for Thompson... could come unstuick unless he's got his A-game. This is Kell's last fight at brit level isnt it, against jenngings, so Mark may get to fight for the vacant title next?!?

Its a tough fight, Lloyd pushed Jamie Cox in an eliminator last time out.

Cox is a bit special and bullied Lloyd out the fight (not to mention some foul tactics), Thompson may not have Cox's talent but is becoming more experienced and battle-hardened so I expect him to take care of Lloyd one way or another. Like Cox, he will want the win a lot more than Lloyd. Solid undercard matchup.

Paul Economides Vs Steven R Russel
6x3 Super-Bantamweight

Dont know much about Economides but Russel is a really classy Boxer
been a bit inactive recently but in the Amateurs he won the British juniors and got to final a year later but got beat controversially i hear by Vinny Mitchell . also beat Paul Appelby a few times in Amateurs

seems a Good match up of 2 undeafeated youngsters :TU:

Economides is one of the decent boxers who is not quite as good/flashy as he thinks he is, if you know what I mean. No disrespect to him, there are a few of those guys about. All flash and movement with very little in the way of clean shots.

Mark Thompson Vs Kevin Mcintyre could have easily been made if the Hattons returned there phone calls :D

that would have been a good match up and oppertunity for Thompson to get up the rankings if he fancied it.

I think Mark wuold fight anyone, as proven when he took the chance to fight Vuma at 3 days notice and a weight above his natural one.

I agree but what happened when he was supposed to fight Brook?

Mark Lloyd is definitely a step in the right direction and a fight with Cox would be a cracker down the line

Is that when he was given 3 weeks notice by SN after they won the bids and went to the board with a docs note saying he had flu and wasnt able to train? Around the same time as Hatton was fighting Mayweather?

Worth noting that at the time Kell was nowhere near as good as he is now (imo) and he had out of the ring problems. He was rated as an up n commer, but not the hot prospect 90% think he is now.
