Hi everyone,
I have tried to research this ticket several times and I cannot find anything. I stumbled upon this forum and it seems like a great place to ask.
This is a colored boxing ticket from 1948. The fight took place at American Legion Auditorium on November 22, 1948 and was apparently promoted by Boxing, Inc. I know it was 1948 because the ticket came with some other 1948 tickets and American Legion items and the November 22nd date fell on a Monday in 1948. This was a Colored Benefit and the cost was $1.25. This is ticket #293 and is a full complete ticket with the stub in tact. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Is it possible to find out who fought or anything? Thanks in advance.

There was an American Legion Auditorium in Roanoke, Va. in the 40s and 50s. There was boxing there 2-3 times per month. There was a show there on 11-08-48 so the 22nd would have been exactly 2 weeks from that show. Some of the shows have not been entered on BoxingRec yet. There are 25 shows listed for the American Legion Auditorium in Roanoke in 1948.
