Did Joe ever fight on the secret Canadian circuit?
Or is it still a secret?

- Heh, heh, your boxrec ignorance button is doing a bang up job keeping you away from me and my threads and posts.
Still looking for me to boot that warm moist little puppy nose of yours, eh? I figure Eddie Eagle could warm up with you first and then clean out the lot on the list before sitting down to a nice breakfast of tea & crumpets with creamed Bambi on toast.

BRR....
FYI
it hides posts, it does not hide threads. Which could possibly explain his awareness on this one.

Do you think BRR is feeling neglected, Buzz?
He showed up in the Brit forum and got treated like the idiotic troll he is.

Quiet down Collins. BRR is currently taking up Galento's honor. There is much to be learned from this sage if you will simply have a seat and read carefully.
You have always been prone to taking the greats to task and have been disrespectful and dismissive of folks like granberry, and this fella. Until they have completed their entire manifesto we can not be doubting Thomas's.
Perhaps all of what appear to be questions or misinformation will be put in perspective once we hear ALL of what they have to say.

BRR believes the Jack Dempsey vs Jack Johnson secret bout up in Canada may have been filmed.

I only ever to try make opinions on fighters that I have seen fight.
I am extremely wary about what I read, no matter how good or
credible the authour. I know it is all we have on some of the older
fighters sadly, and while it is fun to speculate.
I struggle to under stand how some people argue tooth and nail
over one fighters supremacy without ever having watched them
fight....

Joe Grimm wasnt a great fighter, not even a good fighter. He was simply Tex Cobb without offense. He couldnt get kayoed by Fitzsimmons, Johnson, Norfolk, Blackburn, Burns, etc...the guys listed were complete bums, professional wrestlers, or little known 'colored' boxers. He would have probably lost anyways to 90% of the above mentioned---but they wouldnt have kayoed him.

- That's all well and good, but a touted great like Ali's biggest curse in the future is gonna be that almost all his fights exist on video. I won't be around to watch them figure out all by their lonesomes that the guy was quite often hot or cold and hit or miss in his ring performances.
Just run the tapes that exist of Dempsey for example to be matched at that exact age of Ali's fights and Ali comes up short. Do the same thing with Louis who has more tapes against Ali. What we end up for Ali is
"But he beat Liston, Patterson, Frazier, Norton, Foreman, even Spinks for crying out criminy's sake."
Yeah, all true, but then there's
The Rest of the Story as Paul Harvey was fond of launching into.
But Iron Man Joe Grim was nothing to sneer at as he grimly arose from his umpteeth knockdown to announce to the crowd,
" I am Joe Grim and I fear no man." Earnie Shavers would faint dead away in lactic lock after a half dozen of those, you know he would........ 8)
My man, that's as good as gold. Do you need a video to know what Abraham Lincoln said in his Gettysburg and Emancipation Proclamation addresses also?

- Nah, I got redirected by boxrec to the brit forum for the Fury/McD fight.
Just there to push around a herd of soft lads for light exercise to fill the gaps in between my mammath workouts.

I never mentioned Ali.
I know plenty of people that proclaim that they fear no man, so what of it.
I do not fear Rashad Evans or Lyoto Machida, but they would certainly beat
me should I ever have the honor of stepping into the cage with them.
Using a speech as an example in the context you have is a tad daft.
We are discussing fighters, boxing for the fan is a visual sport.
Politicians only have their words, whether spoken or in print. So they naturally
stand the test of time through written word.

- And here me, indeed, WE thought boxing was a visceral sport, thus the famous quote of Joe Grim.
Perhaps not you, thus using Ali as the posterboy of the visual sport.....
.....sorted.....sorta.......

I am perhaps one of the very few here that does not mind you.
Who even some times agrees and finds your posts interesting.
But then some times you just seem a bit touched. I do not mean
this in an offensive manner. It is just how you come across.
All the best good sir.

Lots of things happens on that secret Canadian circuit. Lots of things....many
should never be mentioned, least of all around the missus.
