Can Haye return to the Cruiserweight division?

If Haye can't cope with the best Heavyweights, could he return to the Cruiserweight division?

Not easily, but it could be done. However, he might then be ripe for the picking. He'll need to take off 10 lbs or so of muscle in order to get down. Dangerous.

what a totally erroneous thread.

what if my aunty had bollocks she'd be my uncle.

1) Haye struggled monumentally getting to Cruiser, how will that get easier as he gets older.

2) He blasted out Thomasz Bonin, and just cos he's now up against the BIGGEST BOXER OF ALL TIME...is no reason to go asking such a daft question, IMO, with respect gents :TU:

Haye has made it abundantly clear that he is a Heavyweight. He can't be an awful lot smaller than a Prime Tyson. I expect Mr Haye to come unstuck versus the Russian, I don't think 12 rounds will be required. However, I do expect him to continue to box at the weight after that. Rather than just say...Ooh, I lost, I must change weight again. What with Flint as well it must be a day for daft threads. Good evening Gents.

i think in his own head, haye was a heavyweight before he even won the cruiserweight title. just look at the muscles he put on once he had the WBC ranking and EBU title. he has some assets that can make him marketable - despite his outsider status since going solo - and he will reach out for the biggest prizes (heavyweight titles) if he wins or loses next month.

Even if it's possible there's no way Haye will ever return to the Cruiser division

nope he will be too drained and probably be KO'd a few times. he could also go for the EU title if he fails vs valuev and rebuild that way

If he carries on, it'll be with the big 'uns. Might possibly change his strategy though, and target similar weight heavies instead of the monsters. Plenty of them about, but would Haye take the risk for smaller reward?
can see a Adamek HW clash down the line though.

  the cruiserweight division is shocking.haye would do cunningham in 2 or 3 rounds.the adamek fight has to happen!! haye by vicious ko. he could return to cruiser but he could be weight drained.saying that tho he would ko every cruiser in the world with ease

who owuld you fight?

steve cunningham, for probably no decent TV money?

or enzo mac, with proabaly king's ransom from wazza, chance to win over 02 arena, big interest from british and american television.

it's a no brainer and at the time, more ppl were calling for haye v mac, than haye v cunningham.

adamek deal with cunningham in thrilling fashion, sending his man flying from right cross-left hoook combos 3 times in back and forth brawl.

i see your point but don't write off cunningham. he is a tough, slick man. an orthodox chad dawson, but tougher than bad chad.

adamek dropped cunningham with as perfect a right hand i've seen. cunningham should have been OUT, in round 4, an amazing round of boxing that he was winning big until getting nailed. and cunningham got up and kept on going, in that ebb and flow thriller.

I agree

Mr Allege paid Haye a whopping £1 million to crucify his own fighter - bad judgement from Mr Allege

indeed was a big mistake

I know why Mr Allege did it though

He was trying to buy the Cruierweight division titles

Cos if Enzo had won he would have had all WBC / WBA / WBO titles under his control

And then they would have proably tried for a fight with Cunnigham and Mr Allege would have made Cunnigham a good offer to come to Cardiff or Manchester or London

And they would have promoted it as all the titles - including IBF - being unifed in a massive showdown

Even though Cunnigham was not a big name

Sports network would have hyped it up and made everyone take notice

But it backfired because Warren ended up with no Crusierweight titles under his control after that fight

i think it's a big man's vazquez-marquez. with a heavyweight title (WBA) as prize, it would be a considerably big fight. it is my dream fight. haye better beat valuev.

it would be great esspecially as the size differance would be minimal and could bring fans back to the heavies.

if haye doesnt beat valuev i will stop watching boxing all together

Who cares?

It's over - done and dusted!

Why did Barry McGuigan fight Texan Steve Cruz in the afternoon desert?

Why didn't Sugar Ray Robinson not get a remactch with Tiger Jones?

Why didn't Jack Dempsey go to the neutral corner in the battle of the long count?

What I want to know is - who did Adam Rickitt beat for the North of England middleweight title? Was it Lennox Lewis?

I agree

I'm just specualting what Warrens plans were - and why he took the fight

All that matters is Warren made the fight - and Haye easily proved that Enzo was overhyped.

exactly. everyone is bored with the heavies. adamek v haye would be explosive.

He'd need to take of 25 to 30lbs more like.

Other combat fighters lose 50lbs+, so it's possible, but he'd have shit for stamina.
