You have to be quick, flexible with dates, and flexible with location, but yes, 4 pence. Basically free isnt it. They do try and charge you for checking bags in (for one night i'll take hand luggage) and you have to check in online, not want priority boarding etc... but, if you go basic, 4p.

How long are you going for?

I dont know about B&B's, but I would recommend The Central (I always go there for my morning coffee when in Dublin - they have a nice lounge on the first floor) as it has a great location and sometimes do good deals, especially midweek. Also, The Harcourt is in a good location and usually offer good rates.

Check the individual websites for deals and compare with below site which always have exclusive deals...

*If you are going for more than one day and taking the family I would recommend The Royal Marine in Dunlaoghaire (which is approximately 30 minutes by train south of Dublin. It is a 4 star, but really ought to be a 5 star, very good prices for the quality, crackin inexpensive bar menu, big and grand lobby areas, modern rooms and excellent leisure and spa area.

Ryanair do this the whole time. They set the prices for a certain period of time. So Wales went on to Ryanairs websites, got flights for 4p[im sure he wasn't the only one], I'm sure he then told alot of people about this brillant offer including us on the thread. This then creates a rush for buying the 4p seats, some people will get the 4p seats but by the time some people log on they have put the prices back to normal but people will still buy the flights for the more expensive price due to impulse buying or to go on a mad bender in Dublin with their 4p friends! Ryanair mainly do this on flights that they are struggling to sell out!

A few months back a few mates flew from Belfast to UK then UK to Paris and back for a total of about £6 each, due to the weird flight times they didnt need accom and didn't really get to far outside of the airports (5miles tops) but was a fun day out for them. Not sure if was Ryan Air or Aer Lingus that time, they both do the 1p flights.

As for accom in Dublin, if you wnat to spend a few quid on a nice hotel try prices for the Burlington and Red Cow Moran.

If your booking accom in Dublin, price it via the hotels website then via "Yeego" you can save a fortune through Yeego, they have some weird Euro/Stg deal that doesnt seem to change with the current exchange rate.
