people will question the so called injury but to be fair.haye's main punch is the overhand right.he hardly normally throws left hooks. it was blatent he broke his right hand. if haye didnt injure himself he could have stopped valuev.it was a boring fight.but when he fights the klits he will go to war.great night for british boxing.i had haye winning by 1 point.

He didnt throw it much in the 1st or 2nd either, could have been hurt, or could be an excuse for fighting negatively, I just dont think Haye has the countering skills to be honest. From the first few miniutes I was thinking, without a good left hook or good mid range skills this will be a long night. Hes a happy chappy when he can beat guys to the punch at range. Valuevs size was also completely intimidating

He threw more rights than left hooks, he needed a better left hook tonight anyway but he still got the job done (barely)

definite injury in my opinion seemed to go quiet with the right after the second round which up until that point looked a dangerous punch bring on the klithkos might not win but much better chance than any of the americans

defo injury for me also. Dont forget no-one would look good against big Sasquatch

I think the hand was injured, not heard to what extent yet though. The one thing that got me wondering was inbetween the 10th & 11th rounds he mentions something to Booth (which I couldn't hear) but Booth responds lets worry about that in 6 months time. Anyone know what they were talking about?

Post fight he said he broke it early on.

His hands have always been very very brittle, injures them all the time but normally gets away with it through the power it generates.

Not sure how much longer he will be able to carry it though, imagine trying to do the job he did last night against either of the Klitschko, it would be impossible.

Still whilst it was a dreadful fight, full credit to him, he did the job to the judges satisfaction and got the belt.

It is genuine. He showed me his hand and the knuckle on his ring finger of his right hand seemed to have completely sunk, while there was a lot of swelling around it too

There we go then, Ruiz summer at the earliest in London may be the next fight, this is going to need some substantial time to heal and repair itself.

Its a real shame that punchers tend to suffer with this type of thing, perhaps it goes with the territory but I would love to see a fully fit haye with good strong hands taking on the best, there will always be this worry, did not want to make much of it before hand but if ever they were going to go again it was against the big boned chap from the East.

Not saying it isnt genuine, but his main reason for mentioning the hand was because he didnt do what he promised.

If you watch the news conference video you can see that two of the fingers on his right hand are taped together

He's got a history of dubious injuries, doesn't he? I didn't notice anything in particular happening during or after round two, such as Haye grimacing in pain or grabbing his hand.

i've only seen it once but i thought booth said 6 minutes. which would make sense
