So I was writing a post on something else and looking at what some of Haye's previouse opponents have done since and it turns out Tomasz Bonin lost in a fight for the WBC Youth World Heavyweight title... fair enough you might say... the man is 36... if you are going to make up titles at least have a semblance of them being meaningful...

I try to ignore any sentence with the word "title" involved relating to boxing nowadays.

I heard Holyfield is going to be fighting for the vacant WBC Youth Title next month. It was vacated a few months prior by Joe Frazier.

As stupid as this is:
You will find his opponent was probably under the age limit and if Bonin had won the title would have been declared vacant.
Dont ask me to justify it, I can't - but I am sure that is how they work it.

It's like having a guy from Africa fight for an Australasian title. If he wins it's vacant, if the Australasian guy wins he's the titlist.

Justify Shane cameron v Bob Mirovic for the IBF African title, then. Which one was African? Was it the Irish-Kiwi or the Croat-Aussie?
