I am confused - not difficult I know - but would appreciate knowing other people's take.
Is Williams fighting Martinez on 5th December at 160lbs ?
Has Pavlik been stripped ?
Is the WBC title up for grabs or not ?
Rhodes ranking is now officially 3 at LM following the recent WBC Convention.
Chavez and Cintron ahead of him but unsure if Martinez has moved up just for the one fight - and the dosh !

Martinez took the fight on short-notice on the proviso he didn't lose WBC title, and I think Williams then said he couldn't make 154.

No, I don't think so. Williams vs Martinez is a non-title fight. Martinez is still the 154 lbs titlist, and Pavlik the 160 lbs titlist.

No wonder he's taking the fight.
Just found out his purse (Martinez).
$350,000.
Not bad when nothing is at risk.

And Pavlik is coming back 2 weeks after against a mild-mannered gypsy.

interesting fight.
especially given the problems williams had with quintana.
martinez isn't a million miles away from that style.
not sure i'd go out on a limb by picking martinez over him though.

Actually I think Martinez will make a better fight of it then Pavlik. Williams gives just enough angles to have given Pavlik big trouble.
