Everybody has seen the fight, Sexton wins due to retirement...

HOWEVER, (for reasons unknown) Rogie refused to step out of his corner....

It's a bit fishy wasn't it?

Only today, I've heard that bookies on the Falls Road (West Befast) stopped taking bets 3 o'clock on Friday afternoon due to "suspicous betting"....

There was a shit load of bets, that Rogan would lose in a specific round... The bookies noticed this trend of people in the neighbourhood betting against the hometown hero, and all betting in the same round...
They stopped taking bets.

After the fight, Rogie's corner aid the fight was stopped after Rogie broke his left arm...
(he politely clapped Sexton's victory).

Two days later, the newspaper said that Rogie retired following a neck injury...

Fishy isn't it?

I don't think so, I heard rumours of a lot of problems in the training camp, which led me to pick Sexton to win. Rogan looked exhausted and shipping punishment, I think he was correctly retired. He gave it a final go in the 5th and had nothing left.

If the reports are true it's not good for Rogie but I cant see this sort of thing being in his make-up, he comes across as being very honest and proud. He really looked flat out when he was walking back to the corner before the retirement, he did take some heavy shots.

Fair play to Rogan. Nice story, gutsy fighter but can't see what else he can do.

As for Sexton i was massivley underwhelmed by him when he "beat" Rogan the first time and only mildly less so this time. I'd say any of Price, Chisora, Fury would beat him. Credit to him for getting the two W's but i don't rate him one iota.

Basically, he is a novice holding a title which is bad news. He has gone from 6 x 2 rounds to 12 rounds and a quarter of his fights were 3 rounders in prizefighter - he isn't a bad boxer, I don't like his mouth though - I don't think it suits him all that well but hey ho - thats how he wants to conduct himself but he comes across as annoying as Froch who sounds similar.

Rogan himself was a novice but at least he beat Harrison and Skelton over 10 and 11 rounds respectively. Sexton hasn't fought anyone of that calibre.

If Sexton fights anyone with a 10 round engine - he will be without a title.

heard a bit of talk that rogan was in a Castlewellan bar a few weeks ago and had 12 to 15 pints not good for training is it,maybe its only talk but he was in that town i know,i was sorry to see martin lose even though i backed Poonsawat 5/4 to beat Dunne and Sexton at 11/4 to beat Rogan in a double

There is no question that Rogie had a genuine injury....

I'd disagree, I think he has a lot of potential. He's the domestic sleeper, believe me if Fury could twice better Rogan on the form Rogan's been on I'd surprised. However, Rogan seem to shrink in this fight.

I'd like to see Sexton v Williams and then Sexton v Fury/McDermott.

If he was going to throw the fight I very much doubt having Sexton bouncing around the ring in the 5th trying to knock his block off with every shot was in the script.

They had been rumours for weeks leading up to the rematch from people in the know that Rogan hadn't been training for the fight.

I love the revisionsim. Rogan wins - he's brilliant, honest, down-to-earth slugger. Rogan loses - he's cheating, lazy, nasty bit of work.
