I know it'll only be highlights but this is great news. Samil Sam v JC Gomez is a fascinating match IMO, with Mesi v Williamson and Guinn v Dokiwari not too far behind. We'll also get Damian Kelly's IBF shot.

All I need now is confirmation that Holy v Toney / Corrales v Casamayor is going to be shown over here and I'm sorted!

What date is this bill scheduled for Kilburn?

The Toney/Holyfield will surely get picked up by one of the UK stations - even PPV on Satanta is a good bet - there's Arum's show same night in the USA - Morales & a Latin lineup - Sky usualy pick up Arums shows, so maybe BBC will go with the other one.
Hope it's Setanta though, that way we'll get to see the even better Corrales/Casamayor

Sam / Gonzalez is live 4AM on German ZDF, don't know if they're showing the whole bill, so that's good news w/ the BBC

I read somewhere that Sinan Samil Sam and Juan Carlos Gomez loathe each other. Can't remember the details of the story now, but they fell out when they shared the same promoter in Germany. I believe Gomez married Sam's sister or something, but the two have now divorced.
It's all very personal and should make for a great fight.

surely Universum would only make Sam v Gomez if they were super confident of a win. They wouldnt want to be embarasses by having one of there old guys kicking one of their current guys ass.

They are obviously privy to a lot of info we dont have, surely SSS and Gomez must have sparred a lot???

Well all I know is Gomez has to be a tougher obstacle than Danny or Julius. He's not been too active of late though.

From what i have seen of both of them i fancy Sam to beat Gomez, Gomez is quick and powerful but Sam is a hard trainer and deceptively fit for his appearance and carries power. I have seen Gomez at Cruiserweight and he was backed up too easily and shipped too many punches against the likes of Pietro Aurino and Guy Waters. Sam carries power and i would bet on him stopping Gomez around 8-10 unless Gomez plans to circle Sam and work on the outside with raiding tactics, bah!Enough analysis let's just look forward to a great fight

From what I have heard, I'll be very surprised if Guinn loses his fight.

The other two are a toss-up (please Terrible Terry don't take that literally - sky extravenganza thread).

I think Mesi will win (don't think that much of either Mesi but think less of Williamson).

Sam vs Gomez is up in the air, you get good odds for Sam as he's the underdog.

ok so how much action will the bbc show how about none, the program is only on for hour and 5 minutes, kelly fight is the main attraction so if that goes the full 12 bbc will have to cut rounds out, probably do their great rounds ie start from round 7 onwards,

Yeah they're going to have their work cut out squeezing four 12 rounders into an hour slot. Hopefully some of those heavyweights will be chucking bombs right from the off. Though I can see Sam v Gomez going a few rounds for sure.

So that's the Belfast bill, Alexandra Palace, Djelti PLUS all what's happening in the USA. No doubt CH5 will be showing the previous nights ESPN show too.

I've got a bad feeling the BBC are going to stitch us up here - what's the odds they show 1 or 2 rounds of the Mesi & Sam fights and leave it at that?

I don't know who keeps spreading the rumour around that Sam-Gomez will be shown live in Europe. It was written on Eastside and I posted it once, but took it back later.

It wasn't scheduled http://www.zdf.de and it isn't scheduled now, too bad.

dokiwari v guinn is interesting. guinn looked a little skinny and crude. dokiwari brings that big power, will lay it on th eline and say dokiwari by KO.

as for mesi that fellas a hyped bum. will be a pleasure to see TOS expose him (not that i rate TOS highly but the fella carries big power by the looks of it). for once mesis fighting a fella whos not in his 40s.

So what did we make of these fights? Unfortunately we didn't get Guinn v Dokiwari although it sounds like it was pretty one-sided.

Mesi isn't that special but, as I thought, he didn't have much trouble finding that chin of Williamson who in the end was pretty hopeless.

Didn't like Gomez's grinning and grunting but he did a nice job on Sam I thought. 3st lighter than Danny Williams but just look at how much naturally tougher the guy is - and all this after 13 months inactivity.

Very impressed with Gomez last night, he could be a real dark horse in the devision. Sam is as tough as they come and beat Danny mainly cause the Brit couldn't budge him (he was walking through everything Williams threw). BUT, despite Gomez's punches not looking as if they have much it was still enough to keep Sam at bay (which an 17 stone Williams couldn't do).

I still wouldn't write Sam off against a big Heavy (i.e. McCline), speed is the key to victory against Sam, Gomez had it - Danny thought he had it (according to the stories anyway).

Watching Sam last night, you can see exactly why Danny took him lightly. That's no excuse and I still think guys like McCline, maybe even Mesi could see Sam as easy meat (like Williams did) and be in for a big surprise.

But I think Gomez can certainly win a version of the title - IBF, WBO. I think Jones (if he goes back to Heavy) and of course Lewis will be too much.

I agree, thought Gomez looked good enough to have a great career as a heavy - I guess they'll be bulking him up a bit, Holyfield style, as well.
Didn't see Guinn, but I'd take Gomez to outpoint any of the other heavies on the bill.
And Sam can come back & pull off a few shocks too.

The more I watch Mesi v Williamson the more Williamson looks like a Butterbean opponent. He was utterly clueless while under attack, he couldn't have made it any easier for Baby Joe if he tried. I can't believe people were hyping this guy up. I'll be really rooting for Mesi every time now though, the size of that crowd was fantastic what an atmosphere.

I'd welcome Jones Jr v Gomez as the Cuban would certainly be throwing a heck of a lot more punches that John Ruiz.

Yeah Jones/Gomez would be interesting - the Cuban doesn't lack confidence that's for sure.
I agree with Bunce, that was a terrible fight to take for Sam as his American showcase - the German's must've know how good Gomez is...

And Williamson was as chinny as we'd heard - looked like a novice as he flailed away. Mesi is great business - though we still don't know anything about him.
But he handles the "big" occasion pressure very well, seeing as that was his HBO debut.
