Warren Richards - Fill in the gaps.

Mate of mine is looking like he may get a few pointers from Warren Richards, I'd never heard of him but it seems he was a guy who fought pro and sparred with the big guns back in the day?

Any information, stories etc.....

He used to play in goal for a non-league side (Penhill) at Eltham before he went on to be a professional boxer. Not sure if he boxed amateur for Eltham ABC or somewhere like that.

Roger McKenzie had the Indian sign on him and those defeats seem to spell the end. I think he was pretty decent, certainly on the Southern Area circuit

Thanks Butch. The little tit-bits I've got is that he retired because of an eye injury.

boxed for frank maloney. is a good chef had a restaurant in the west end i think.

Warren Ritchards has a place round the corner from the real fight club in Curtain st,
still has a place in covent garden indoor market carribean food,
was at the fight club when Lennox was there,

Used to Box for Eltham, was a pro, and used to be in the corner of some unlicensed shows, nice guy, never gives me free food tho!!

I vaguely remember him. There were some fun Area-level heavies in the early 90s - him, RF McKenzie, Keith Fletcher...
