Rewatched Haye vs Thompson and good old Jim Neily was on the commentary. I almost forgot about him.

He was without doubt one of the poorest commentators ever. However, as poor as he was, I think he was better than the clown Smith. So I have made this poll just to guage public opinion. Don't get me wrong, I know Smith is generally seen as a nice guy and I have nothing against that. I would rather not have to listen to him commentating on Mayweather vs Pacquaio, Haye vs Vitali etc (which is a very real possibility now).

Neily was poor but not as bad as smith imo. although he had some clangers, "william yoppy" "evander holly field"

Smith weren't too bad last night but there were a couple of moments were i screamed 'shut the fvck up!!'.

It's the over emphasis that annoys me, trying to instill amazing grandeur in the moment when i just think "Pipe down mate for gods sake".

I actually don't mind Adam on the big US fights. Cause they warrant the "over emphasis". He is much much better than Jim "Howard Eastwood" Neilly.

His commentary on Castillo vs Corrales 1 was excellent.

smith's okay but there was that moment in about rnd 7 where he screamed "huge right hand by Pacquiao"....eff me I just spelt Pacquiao right I think

an I was like....nah........and the replay showed that I was correct it wasn't really that hard.

got to forgive him though because his job is to commentate not sit nd watch like me. Hardly be any good if he called a huge shot 5 seconds after it landed.

Smith, is okay. People that moan about whatever kind of money he is on, and I have met one or 2 such fckers in life, should concentrate more on improving their own lot if they don't like it.

I can't stand any commentator who feels the need to drone on all the way through the fight and tell us every three rounds about how -insert fighters name here- fought his way out of Manchester, Tijuana, Bogota or any other decaying shithole you can think of. I just want to know their opinion on the fight and if they've nothing else to add that doesn't mean they can repeat over and over what they said earlier.

Adam Smith aint bad he is annoying but he just feels part of the furniture when it comes to Sky Sports fight nights.

I drove through there once, well I drove into one end of Kirkby and walked out of the other end.

I must say I'm being a bit harsh on Bogota there as I spent 2 months in Colombia(2 weeks in Bogota) and not once were me and the missus kidnapped, raped, robbed and murdered. Quite pleasant friendly people actually.

Most of the family is from Liverpool, I was born and raised a few miles up the road in Southport.
