Okat in this thread, you must be your ALL-time prizefighter tournament... :TU:

You must have 8 boxers, and each round consists of 5 rounds... :TU:

Here's mine:
My tournament would be held at HEAVYWEIGHT...
And I would want this tournament to consist of tough guys who hit HARD!!! :box:

My invitations would go out to:

Rocky Marciano (circa 1953)
Jack Dempsey (circa 1919)
Joe Frazier (circa 1970)
George Foreman (circa 1972)
Jack Johnson (circa 1910)
Mike Tyson (circa 1988)
Ernie Shavers (circa 1982)
Matt Skelton (circa 2006)

These boxers are varied but they are all heavyweights:

Tyson stops the great Dempsey.

Frazier finds away to land that hook on Skelton, and troubles
him with it, body attacks followed by head blasts. Frazier wins by
stoppage.

After being dropped and rocked himself, Foreman comes back
to stop Shavers. In an action paced fight.

Johnson does his best to keep the Rock at bay, but Marciano
gets through and stops the clever Johnson late in the fight.

Last men standing.

Mike Tyson
Joe Frazier
George Foreman
Rocky Marciano

A. Dempsey VS Tyson
I would say that Dempsey outworks Tyson... :TU:

B. Frazier VS Skelton
Frazier curshes Skelton... I can't see Matt lasting 5 rounds with Frazier... :shame:

C. Foreman VS Shavers
Foreman wins by KO round 4. :TU:

D. Johnson VS Marciano
Close... Very close... But Marciano wins on pts. :TU:

Tyson KO4
Frazier KO3, Skelton might die
Foreman early Ko
Johnson by close dec

I'd Go Welterweight

Robinson
Hearns
Leonard
Duran
Napoles
Armstrong
Basilio
Griffith

Though you really need at least 32 for a real Welter tourney. I think it's the most stacked division ever.

I always enjoy these kinds of things.

Dempsey KO6 over Tyson: Tyson surprised that Dempsey doesn't collapse with his first rush, and a lot more surprised at how hard Dempsey hits, reverts to the tentative one-punch-at-a-time performer we saw fold against Douglas and Holyfield. Result shocks some but Dempsey just too much of a natural fighter to lose to a guy with a psyche like Leg-Iron Mike.

Frazier TKO8 over Skelton: The big fella is no George Foreman; he can't bounce Frazier on outta there early and can't match Frazier's pace down the stretch. In fact, he doesn't even make it to the "stretch."

Foreman KO1 over Shavers: No contest.

Johnson W15 over Marciano: Very close fight that sees Marciano, streaming blood, come on strong at the end -- but he can't quite over-haul Johnson's big early lead. Everyone wants to see the rematch and Vegas opens the line at pick-e'm.
