one thought for those too sold on a Barker win:

Macklin, generally, has had more problems with muscular aggressive types and bangers.

i wonder sometimes if he's prey to a Ken Norton type syndrome where he will go into a shell in the face of power or pressure. very much a confidence fighter, is Wayne. by inverse, sometimes if not fazed by his opponent's power, his confidence grows almost visibly. once he realised Bendall couldn't hurt him, he flew at him and tore his fkin head off. almost literally.

elcock is not in barkers class, simple as that, wayne is shop soiled goods now and barker is on the up, just hope barkers chin holds to world level, because that area is his weakness.

given who Barker has been wobbled/floored by in the past, i don't think you can quite write Wayne off, yet.

of course i am biased though.

Glad to see Wayne is looking to put it all on the line here - he is a class act and has been a great servant to the Birmingham boxing scene.

As CP says, Barker hasn't got the sort of bang on him that could phase Wayne - if Wayne can find his rythmn early, set himself and bring over the right hands, who knows what could happen??
