First thing i would like to say is a credit to both boxers for taking this fight. They could of gone for easier fights having been touted as up and coming.
Would like to see more fights matched liked this. Should be a craker. Askew showing he will box anyone and away from home again. I'm gonna sit on the fence with this one not decided yet. Views and thoughts ? To many fighters around with records built up against the same old pro"s on circuit.

ive seen askew in the gym sparring with the likes of caig watson an micheal brodie and other fighters i dont no much of anwar but seeing askew last ko of dean harrison who has boxed for a british title will have his work cut out !!!!

since when has askew become a prospect he's lost twice and now he beats dean harrison he becomes a propect????? never heard of anwar as yet

This is a good match both fighters bring desire not just there to survive and pick up the purse. My point been sick of seeing unbeaten fighters 9-0 , 10-0 with Taylors x2, Allens x2 , etc. If you havn't heard of the Platinum Kid or followed Askew then you may not know as much as you think. These two young fighters up and coming
credit to them both for taking this fight. In my neck of the woods people gettin sick of 80/20 70/30 fights knowing the result before the fight ends. Dosn't do a fighter any good with a cushioned record in my opinion. Would like to see more evenly matched fights like the one mentioned.

not saying its not a good match tijuana but propects are gavin degale, anyway i agree with what u say about fighting journeymen and well done to both lads for taking a 50/50 fight because we dont see enough of em

dbflex did an article in boxingnewsonline urging Hatton promotions to sign Askew!As for Anwar,he is exceptionally fast,and talented,and was a decorated junior amateur.As for Gavin,Degale,etc being prospects,thats stating the obvious a bit isnt it.We cant all be Olympians.This is a great fight at grass roots level,and just because the armchair fans dont know about it doesnt diminish it one little bit.cheers.

used to alot of training up at workington and he was always a good boxer from jnr years

dont know much about anwar but tipping askew..hes on a roll at the minute, training hard n picking up momentum in the ring!!!! harrison being an example of this!
other 2 losses against mitch prince n godding are disputed so should make for a good match!

Think saying the loss to Godding being 'disputed' is going a little far!!!!!!!!!

I never went as it was a dinner show but i presume Anwar was showboating?It should certainly have been 6x3's with these two though.

Don't reckon these 2 would produce a decent fight even if it was 12 3's. Very bad clash of styles. Maybe it should've been a draw, but please no re-match.

Robinson is good, and has excellent pedigree. The kid that beat him (I forgot his name) hadn't boxed amateur or pro before last night (so I'm told).

Utter boll*cks,Adil boxed very well,this fight was about concentration,somtimes you don't have a throw millions of shots to win a fight,just be accurate.Mature performance, I think this kid could operate at lightweight.

It say's on the Seconds Out fight report that he boxed for Benny's ABC

BBBofC inspector told me he was unboxed. Luke's dad was carrying on alarmingly afterwards about the matchmaking. I thought beforehand it was a bit of a mismatch, only the other way round.

Curtis Valentine, the lad that stopped Luke Robinson, won the Midlands senior novice (class B) title last year and reached this year's senior ABA quarter-finals.

He was a bit of banger in the amateurs but his style never suited boxing to computerised scoring.

Does it matter?Robinson was an ABA finalist who looked teak-tough.I would have been more worried matching him with a classy boxer before the fight
