i saw him 3 or 4 years ago at the York Hall, scream mask job the lot...........he was totally crap that night. He won in 2 or 3 rounds but he was jumping 2 metres across the ring spinning round in mid-air and actually landed on his opponent , WITH HIS BACK, more than once.

Highly embarrassing stuff and I'm pretty sure my pal would have taken him out that night clinically.

This said, Small has inproved since then. He's taken his beating off Bradley like a man and come back from it strongly. Good wins in Contender (I know that was before BP), and recently over Hall.......few would have been surprised to see Hall flatten him.

There's nothing too offensive here, it's just Boxing smack talk. I think Small's ok.

I dont think that article makes him out to be a prick or even showing anyone disrespect. Who is he actually talking down to? I've found him very respectful to everyone from all walks of life in gyms.

Think you maybe getting confused with Small actually trying to get a certain someone to fight him rather than him being a 'wanker'.

Anthony Small is a very confident man, its not that he's showing disrespect its that he believes in himself so much...and thats not such a bad thing. And you did admit he is a good fighter. Would you class Ali or Naz wankers, pricks and say that they spoke down to everyone and showed no respect when they showed their confidence? And Floyd Mayweather you mentioned, would you say the same about him? I would say he acts no different. Smalls a fighter with confidence and whether he's at the level of fighters who've had and acted in the same confidence or not its working for him as seen in his recent performances, its helping him believe in himself which is an assit to any fighter and if Rhodes feels he can beat Small I'm sure Small is hoping he is annoying Rhodes enough to accept the fight.

Agree.

Given the ongoing lack of quality match ups and build ups (including Small's fight on Friday) to look forward to, boxing needs people like Small just to keep some interest up.

The British Champion V a guy who's last fight was a defeat... in an eliminator for the British title.

How do you sell that?

Small is no great ticket seller but as my mate on here, Ulysses, says, he's a tv fighter, made for tv rather than live shows. also, Small in normal life and in sparring etc is a decent guy. but point a camera/notepad at him and its like wacko jackos metamorphosis in the thriller video

at least naz and ali were world class fighters this bloke got it all to prove but if u listen to him hes achieved it all allready. and he do talk down to people on facebook he was giving bradley pyrce stick for no reason and this is a man who smoked his boots !! if he think hes the man get in there with paul williams lol

i've always said small is good enough to mix with the best of british.

i was disappointed with him against pryce (despite a slightly dodgy stoppage).

the hall fight was more like it.

just needs a few wins and get either rhodes or moore into the ring.

promotionally those fights could happen now that he's with ricky hatton promotions.
