I saw Takaloo and his trainer on some low budget show on Bravo or some other chanell called britains hardest man, he didn't do to well, but the tasks didn't suit him and he didn't look that interested, if was a tear up he would have destroyed the competition.
Saw Rob Reid, a few years back when i was back in Manchester, he was with a super fit bird and driving a 60k motor, looked like he was doing ok, all though i did here he got in to porn films no idea if that is true or not.
I think Steve Roberts works in the building trade, seem to remember that from some where.

Takaloo is, or at least was one of Britain's hardest. That lad would top most UK "tough guys" til he's 45. As with most boxers.

as to Rob Reid, my understanding is that he did feature in a bit of porn. To me, that is embarrassing. Box, retire, then do porn is fine. Or, just don't box, but do porn, that is fine. But for an active boxer knocking out some B rated smut on the side I find pathetic to be honest. The man (by all accounts, I didn't see it, bested Joe Calzaghe FFS ....up in Newcastle of all places if I'm right....topical...given Amir vs. Salita is one the way).....FFS, someone BESTING a world class fighter shouldn't be banging the rear off some Z list slag as a side-job. Embarrassing imo

I'd guess Khaliq is still on the taxi's, he was supposed to be doing nicely for himself there, Scott Welch made proper money through retirement homes

like Duncan Bannatine did...after he was done putting wraps of smack in ice-cream cones...JOKE folks, joke.
Welsh should have got the Vinny soft shite Jones gig. Except Jones was taller and better looking. Everyone knows Welsh would have smacked his plums in...but that counts for sh*t in Hollywood.

scott welch was a millionaire before he even turned pro . he was with a old bird that had the retirement homes . she was the one that started the company and he jumped on the band waggon . ???
i remember his first day up the matchroom and he was saying he found it hard getting sparring because he was knocking them all out . herbie hide and garry delaney was there warming up and freddie king said that he could sparr with garry . so they got ready and away they went . scott tried to knock garry out in the first round by rushing him and pushing him around the ring . then in the second round garry was jabbing and moving then when scott commited to throwing the right hand
(you knew when he was gonna throw it as he shook it just before throwing it )garry who was still a light heavy threw a left hook and landed flush . scott was out cold but garry held him up and said welcome to professional boxing . ?? fair play to scott he came back the next day and just got on with it . scott still laughs about it to this day he said he learned to do his talking in the ring .
i still laugh to my self about it because to me garry delaney at light heavy was one heavy handed f&*ker and i still belive that if he could of made light heavy he would of been a world champion .

Yeah no doubt about it, the show he was on was more about silly tasks though, seeing how long you can stay buried in sand and things like that, it didn't really have much to do with being hard, i used to love watching Tak, great entertainer with one hell of a punch.

Was never impressed with Steve Roberts career. He could of done more but never even tried. He was happy with his WBF lot.

Scott Welch is doing very nicely for himself in Brighton area, helps to run Hove ABC as well.

met Robin Reid in Spain few months ago, think he has a house around the Alicante area. Still looks in good shape. He found time to pose for photos and talk to anyone that recognised him, proper decent fella!

David Starie is a fulltime firefighter, was rumour of a comeback a couple of years ago, but it didn't come off.

Still want his motor. I thought he was still in the property market.
He's been at the last 3 fights I've been to.
Still in good shape.

I have seen him driving around Bolton a few times recently in a new BMW X6.

Tak's doing good.
He wants to fight again and says break has done him good etc etc, he's an eternal optimist. He's doing some personal training and as you could imagine he's quite good at it.
Girl in my daughter's class at school, her dad's an estate agent who was weighing around 21st. Training with Tak he's shed about 6 stone in a year and he says Tak's changed his life.
Tak wants to fight again, he's still in very good shape and sparred Scott Woolford and his brother Vinny the other week and said he felt very strong and surprisingly sharp, but he's always been dynamite in the gym.
Just a case of you're only as good as your last fight and Tak's in no-man's land. He's not fought for two years, his form before that was pretty poor before that and he's probably a bit too hard a puncher for young fighters, but not been busy enough to fight for a title without winning a few bouts.
He was very disheartened after the Small defeat – not standing up for him as it's up to a fighter to be in the best condition possible when getting in the ring but I know he should have left that one well alone as his heart wasn't really in it and he wasn't having best of times with Jimmy Mac.
Unfulfilled potential Tak – lovely bloke and problem he had was coming from Thanet, hardly a boxing hotbed and If he'd have packed up and properly moved to somewhere instead of having to travel back and forward to London he'd have done better.
Two best results he had, against Farnell and Scott Dixon, he had a proper training camp set up. He was flying then.
