Douglas dislocates his shoulder, think it happened in the 3rd.
4th round the ref stopped it, not before Douglas wants to continue, the lad has alot of heart.

Also the commentators didn't notice anything wrong with his shoulder, i was shouting at tv he's popped his shoulder in the 3rd.
Once Douglas gets his shoulder fixed, he should get another shot at this title.

During the 1st i thought, Purdy will win this one in the next round, but Douglas once he settled down did well, he's got a nice right hand. and his jab started getting home as well.
I gave Douglas the 2nd and 3rd.
Hope his shoulder recovers, he's made a fan of me

No huge levels of skill but plenty of heart and shame Douglas popped his shoulder. As someone who's had long standing issues with his right shoulder (had it bolted earlier this year, finally!) I share his pain.
Purdy's cut was pretty bad over the left eye.

Funny you should mention it I was thinking the same thing. Must be out of it I imagine, not sure what that's about.
Steve Barnes out now. Isn't he supposed to be the next huge thing (according to Brendan Ingle)?

At this rate Barnes is going to lose.
Duke is calling him a hot prospect who's not playing ball, but other than gym reports what have we ever seen from Barnes to suggest he's any good?

Barnes lost, was knackered after 2 rounds, looks like he may of been believing his own hype.
nothing wrong with losing a 4 rounder, its how he rebounds from it that matters

Douglas was extremely brave I thought he was going to get KO'd in the 1st his defence didnt look great and his chin looked shaky but then he showed guts to get back at Purdy and I gave him the next 2 rounds before the fight got stopped

Isnt this going to be a problem in the future? Good fight shame it ended the way it did.

I thought Douglas being pitched in a ten round title fight against a proven area level performer was a cynical match-up.
Douglas' attitude was impressive from start to finish, but he had very little chance of winning, and the result says more about where Purdey isn't going.
It was a pretty horrifying spectacle watching Douglas box on with a dislocated shoulder and those around him, who are supposed to be looking out for him, letting it happen.

that was a bad dislocation - full props to him for trying to relocate it and fight on
