IBO cruiserweight world champ Danny Green has weighed in lighter than Roy Jones Jr for their Sydney clash.

Both men scaled considerably less than the official limit of 90.7kgs and each came in under the agreed mark of 82kgs.

Jones, who was first on the scale, weighed in at 81.45kgs.

He then waited several minutes for Green, who tipped the scales at 81.30kgs.

RJJ 81.45KGS or 179.5 pounds (Foxsport initially reported RJJ to be 84.45kgs)
GREEN 81.3 or 179 pounds

Roy bigger than Green. Both well under cruiser limit,

i can only think that neither of them are planning a long stay at Cruiser, and plan on dropping back to LHW in their next bouts. I haven't checked what RJJ v Hopkins is at but i bet it's not CW. No one needs the weight yo-yo at that age.

it's also interesting that Boxrec rates this fight 4 stars, the same as the Hopkins fight. Even without bias this is a much bigger fight i would have thought

I mentioned they would fight at an agreed weight when this thing was first signed. Roy hasn't been as high as the cruiser limit since Ruiz.

The winner should be forced to defend against the biggest cruiserweight out there ranked in the top 10 in their next fight, or risk being de-registered permanently and fined their entire purse for this fight

This is going back to the nineteenth century when Young Griffo beat 'Torpedo' Billy Murphy for the featherweight title. Murphy held both the 118-120 pounds featherweight title and the 126 pound title. Griffo came in at 121 pounds and beat Murphy for the 126 pounds title, but it was not recognised by some because he did not fight at 120 pounds or less.

Recently Hopkins beat Winky Wright for the "Ring" light heavyweight title with both at 170 pounds. Madness.

The idiot on Fox news sport that looks like Eddie Munster keeps raving on about there being 3kg difference at the weigh in.

I think he failed primary school arithmetic.
