What if: Tyson v Douglas 1987

What if Douglas had beaten Tucker and earned the right to fight Tyson in August '87? How might that have panned out?
Probably a Tyson win, as he hadn't started cutting down on his prep by then, nor would Douglas be inspired by the death of his mother.
Then again, Tyson was not as well-rounded as he was by 1990, as seen by how Tucker hurt and frustrated him. A confident Douglas may have had the tools to trouble him even in '87.
Thoughts?
I reckon Tyson by mid-late KO. Douglas would have banked a few rounds for sure, but he didn't have the durability/survival instinct that Smith and Tucker used to last the distance/

Douglas was 'lost' around this time if I am not mistaken, always that
up and down performer. He had the size, athleticism, skill set, but
something was not in him to tie together with consistency.
I think 1990 was perfect timing for Tyson to fall, and Douglas to
have his moment of greatness.
While green, I think Tyson wins by late stoppage, Douglas grows more
and more fatigued as the fight nears the 10th, even after good movement
on his part early on. He shows his jab and uppercut can land, but
the attrition, speed and wear and tear of being in with Tyson takes its
toll.
How about Tyson vs Carl Williams 1986 ? If Tyson fought the Truth instead
of the Boogeyman ?
I think Tyson wins by KO, but still Williams was in better form then, and
Tyson was alot greener behind the gloves.

Cannot honestly see Tyson losing to Douglas under different settings, & that includes a rematch after their first fight.
It was magic, mythology, a dose of lightning, what happened in Tokyo. Lightning doesn't strike twice. Douglas knew it, too.
