Martial Bella Oleme....who? Looked at his record and he looks sturdy but is 5ft8 and has only one stoppage win. Don't really no what good this is going to do.

Rounds and getting back quickly after his quick blowout win last time round I should imagine. He'll be quite far down the bill so I don't suppose much money was available for the opponent

What type of money do you think Bellew and his opponent will be getting? And the rest of the undercard for that matter, in other sports its quite open what the sports people get but the undercard of boxing is not so open, so was just wondering.

bomber said they tried to get him a better opponent but it was not possible. you can understand why alot of people won't fight the guy..after what he did to velecky

hopefully bellew will get some rounds out of this guy

i think this is a very cleaver opponent for bellew,

bellew is k.o.ing allot of his opponents, in quick time, he has never been past 4 rounds, this french kid should go the whole distance and give bellew some needed rounds under his belt, he has only ever been stoped once in his career, and that was very early on in his career, he hasnt been stoped in over 5 years, (think thats correct) he has campaigned at heavyweight on a few occasions, and hasnt been stopped,

imo, this is just what bellew needs, getting some rounds in, will be just what the doctor ordered, title fights are just round the corner it would be nice for him to know that he can go the distance if necessary

Im often surprised at the lack of transparency in boxing. From the board down lots of things are done in house with little info given .

Nobody ever questioned or requested a copy of mnutes (or anything) of the meeting between Terry O'Connor and the board with regards to the Fury mcdermot fight, and purses arent made common knowledge, aside from prizefighter.

bellew isnt on his level and when they fight he will take bellews biggest shot on the chin then laugh in his face and hit him back with a 100 punches,

he did after he won the commonwealth title as well

Other than as a bit of glorified sparring "to get the rounds in" etc, I don't see any merits in this as a competative sporting contest.

This really is a silly argument. Both are good fighters with promising futures at different stages of their careers. It's good that there's a bit of banter between them, as it'll drum up interest in a fight between the pair in the future.

Honestly, does Bellew celebrating wildly after a fight really make him any less of a fighter? Of course it doesn't.

unfortunantly that doesnt happen, all fighters learn tehre trade against increasingly better opponants. i agree every1 shoudl be matched tough like they were in the 40s-60s but i dont think its going to happen any time soon

Bellew's last win was actually a very decent win the guy was a journyman who mixed in top company and gave it a go i believe he took Steiglitz the distance not long before that

It's something he's done since his amateur days.

I honestly can't see why people are bothered about it, the lads just celebrating. If he was an arsehole I could understand people getting wound up over it, but he always comes across well when he posts on here.

Well, it depends what they are looking for. Are they moving him towards a title chance soon?

Off the top of my head, someone like Darren Stubbs would be good- a tough fighter, prizefighter finalist, and a capable opponent.

Also, Stubbs is the central area title holder- "step one" on the title ladder, so to speak.

Local rival Carl Dilks, is also a possibility.

But it's keeping him busy, and hopefully will give him the rounds he missed out on in his last fight.
This fight is way down on the bill and has zero chance of getting any airtime. Not sure why people are getting their knickers in a twist over it.
Bellew is still a prospect, nothing wrong with this fight. And who really cares how he celebrates???
