At real cruiserweight (91kg) i think he would be too bulked. I say green should have another 81 kg fight with hopkins, then go back to 79kg and fight dawson

Just back from the Acer.
First of all I popped into the packed Brewery and had no chance of finding any of the guys on here.
Secondly, I achieved my objective of not getting bladdered and will board my flight back to the UK tomorrow for xmas without a hangover!!!
Finally, I predicted a RJJ UD. I will never predict anything again!!!! I never thought that was going to happen. Never mind what he does next we as regular posters on the Aussie board must all get over what has just happened tonight and discuss this in a couple of days time. For the first time in a long time I need time to collect my thoughts about how this result happened and where Greens career and earning potential goes from here.

I have been thinking about this i know both fighters have held talks in the past....don't know that Erdei would be that keen after this fight, but it would be a good choice for Green.

well many could arguee jones was chinny and erdei isnt, i had him a much wider victor over fraggomeni than the judges and most people 8-3-1 for erdei
it would test erdei which he needs to be and green would get the best cruiser belt out there with out much size difference

I'm not saying it would be a repeat result, but Erdei has fought tier 2 fighters all his career and Fragomeni was the weakest Cruiser, still i think this would be a great fight, Where should it take place because i think the only time you'll ever see Danny touch down on German soil ever again is if it's for a holiday ;;-)

That was just plain un-freaking-believable. Simple as that. Yeah Roy was SHOT, blatantly, but it don't matter coz scoring a one round KO over a living legend puts dannys profile up there with anyone you care to mention.
I'd like to see Danny go after some big names now, b-hop being one of them. Can't see Bernard coming down here so looks like Danny should get packing to cross the pacific.
Just got back from the after party with marlin, toppity and ben and Danny was getting mobbed like he was Floyd mayweather!

People got carried away with Green's loss to Mundine. Green was weight drained for that fight and still went the distance. He was always too big to fight at 12 stone. He was light heavyweight as an amateur.

I totally agree with this, BHOP next and then either Dawson and/or IBF champ Cloud. That will be enough money for him to live on for the rest of his life and some great battles with world class opponents.
The world is his oyster!!

I think he has to go after Hopkins now at Light-Heavy or a catchweight 81kgs. Especially given the way he beat Jones, Green will now have a big name status in the US. If Green could somehow pull Hopkins down to OZ to fight that would be MASSIVE!! Either way he must gun for Hopkins!

he is not a natural Cruiserweight, so i think he needs to drop down to Light Heavy and take on Chad Dawson

Hopkins is the obvious candidate, I suppose at CW purely for the belt (not that it needs it, but you know...)
Dawson would be a more exciting fight, but Hopkins gives Green a chance to become a double legend-killer. The only downside is that Calzaghe beat him to it, but if Green can also beat Hopkins in better style than Calzaghe did, that will do a hell of a lot for his legacy
And why not have it in Aus? I know Hopkins isn't keen on travelling, but he might look at what a success Green-Jones was, and be tempted. If anything, it could be an even bigger fight because it will be viewed as a genuine, competitive fight in its own right, whereas most of the appeal of Green-Jones was the chance to see Jones in Aus.
Furthermore, the big US names will eventually have to realise that the boxing world is now well and truly bigger than one country. Only this year there have been ENORMOUS fights in Australia, NZ, Poland, Japan, and of course Germany and the UK continue to produce crowd-pullers.
