What the hell? Is this Mundine's strategy - every time he gets into a mandatory position for a major world belt (first the Kessler rematch, now Sturm), he drops a weight to fight a domestic rival and/or for an IBO belt.

On the one hand it's good to have big domestic fights like this and Mundine-Geale (what happened to that rematch BTW?), but surely Mundine must understand that a fight - and especially a win - over Pavlik or Sturm would be worth infinitely more than one than Medley for the IBO??

He's become like the pre-Tszyu Hatton - an endless stream of domestic opponents and obscure imports for a second-tier belt, backed up with the endless promise that "the big one" is just one or two fights away.

mundine obvioulsy wants nothing to do with geale and he will vacate the ibo middleweight title because he was ordered to defend against geale befor the end of febuary if im correct and he aint gona fight in jan then again 4 weeks later. the mail i got about 6 or 8 weeks ago was that mundine would vacate the title and then geale and soliman would fight for the vacant tile in melbourne early next year.

The IBO are a total joke. If this hasn't convinced you, then nothing will.

So Mundine refuses to go ahead with the IBO ordered rematch against Geale. Instead he drops a division and the IBO hand him a title at his first fight at jnr middle...and against Robert Medley.

They will sanction anything this mob. Helps to have an aussie drivers licence too

i wonder if khoder nasser's mismanagement is behind all this? he seems shady as fcuk. and seems to have some sort of hypnotic trance over people. he even convinced mundine to change his religion.
