where does Khan go from here?

Allegedly (unsurprisingly) wants him to fight 2010 in UK
Roach wants him to spar with Pac for March
Assuming Roach gets his way and we get a 3 fight live tv card for Pac-Money, then Khan first on maybe v Ortiz?

He could fight next week lol! He took no proper shots at all there did he?
IMO its for the best that he fights in the US, against the up-and-comers, because we all saw what happens to boxers who live off a diet of has-beens and never-weres, when they come up against the big dogs.

marquez - this will bring up his pedigree with marquez being a "great mexican".
then hatton, provided khan has beaten marquez and established himself as a big draw.

Bradley Holt Peterson Ortiz Madaniaaaaaaaa alexanda etc, these guys will show us more, Khan looked very good last night but how much was due to Salita not being very good.
I think it will be Ortiz next.

British fight v Mitchell

At least Khan would then have the chance to at least try and put part of the record straight by beating the man who beat him. It was of big importance to Khan to put the record straight againts the man who beat him in the Olympic final that the Cuban got brought over here (and payed off ;;-) )

way too risky fight. for little reward. ortiz is known as the coward who quit.

way i see it, marquez lost to floyd because he made a ridiculous move up in weight, his promoters didn't look after him by forcing floyd to pay stiffer penalties for coming in over weight - i feel that fight is a fraud. marquez was coming off a great win over juan diaz, but he was bloated at 135-pounds and was just too small and slow.
i feel marquez would be a more credible opponent for khan, who has only just made his first defence, and with light welter not being as big a jump in weight for the mexican.
reckon this fight establishes khan as a decent PPV attraction over here, gives him credibility over there in america, and perhaps enables this massive fight with hatton to happen - provided khan really is leaving warren.
this gives maidana, ortiz, bradley, peterson, and alexander time enough to sort out who's the best/most marketable between them, for a big fight with khan.

from teh majority of posts ive seen alot of peopel wont be buying the PPV again because of blow outs like this
but its a 2 way street you cant have kotelnik fighst every time to please teh hardcore fans or 1 round blow outs to apease the casual fans that want violence

Personally I think Khan looked really good for the short burst we saw of him on Saturday, but we need to put the win in perspective.
Salita was not a heralded opponent nor did he have any significant wins under his belt. Sure he won the Golden Gloves, but that the NYC regional show and not the national competition which is a whole different league.
I think Khan should fight in the UK in 2010 and continue his development under Roach a bit more before diving in with a Marquez prematurely.

Timothy Bradley would not fear coming back to the UK, after his win over Junior Witter. A Unification Fight with him would be a worthy match.
But, Khan will probably be heading back to the states inbetween to become Pacman's Chief Slapping Boy.

Rumours are Golden Boy are trying to tap him up. I would imagine they could offer him a spot on the Manny-Floyd bill followed by a joint top of the bill with David Haye in Vegas in summer, then maybe a fight in Britain next December.

I would like a relative straight forward, named fighter - if one exists. How much does Casamayor have left, maybe a Vivien Harris. This fight will be in the states
Leading to Hatton vs Khan at the City of Manchester, or Reebok (properly filling the stadium this time).
If Hatton is to return, that fight is a must.

To get more cred back, if not having a rematch with Presott then at least contest the man who defeated Prescott last. Kevin Mitchell
