Macklin v Pavlik?

There was a lot of talk on RTE last night about a potential Pavlik-Macklin fight at Madison Square Garden on Paddy's Weekend. They were saying that 'Pavlik's people' have booked the arena for the date with him as their main target. True? Rubbish? I would have thought that MSG could have been booked for a potential Duddy-Chavez Jr. fight perhaps with Arum promoting, perhaps with Pavlik involved, maybe? Anyone know what's going on here?

What exact date are they supposed to have booked? 13th, 17th, 19th or 20th?

Records would suggest so but Macklin is "game as a pheasant and tough as old boots"

I imagine this will be similar to Lockett-Macklin, Macklin hasn't done anything to suggest he is top world class, if it does happen I hope he gets a Lockett size payday

That phrase is going to grow and grow you know  , I'm definitely stealing it aswell.
I think Macklin stands an outside chance in this, Pavlik is slipping and Macklin certainly has the power.
The Pirog fight will reveal a lot, if Macklin is good enough to win that he stands a real chance.
