At light heavy or an agreed weight like he fought RJJ. Not at the cruiser limit,

Adamek is a heavyweight now. He beat Golota in October and fights Jason Estrada in February. Boxrec rates him No 7 Heavyweight.

let's say they both wanted it, and let's say showtime want to televise it, and the money's right for both sides. who is the champ? adamek. he's the champ at cruiser so it would be mad to fight below cruiser, especially when he was weight drained at 175 toward the end. could you see him coming down from 220, to 175??

green just won a cruiserweight title and looked strong. green i believe is a big fighter, with good power and an absolute battering ram of a jab. he'd look better vs bigger fighters, as opposed to the smaller, peskier ones (mundine, beyer) that he has fits with.

200 pounds is a fair weight.

he has the ring mag cruiser belt, and would come down for any decent money fight.

surely coming down from heavyweight 220-pounds, to the cruiser limit of 200, might weaken adamek enough for green to feel confident? green coming up, adamek coming down...

remember hopkins-tarver?

Why would a heavyweight who already has a top ten rating drop back to Cruiserweight, where there is much less money even for title fights? Evander Holyfield was undisputed Cruiserweight Champion but moved up to Heavyweight to make some money.

yeah but if there did turn out to be a fight at cruiser that got some american TV money, it could happen. adamek won't be fighting the david estradas of the world with big TV coverage. and when he lands a WBA heavyweight elim, he will end up in germany against a boytsov, chagaev, or ustinov... if there is any fight of interest at cruiser, where he can make a last appearance as champ, it could happen. (i believe the most likely fighters to get him to come down would be dawson and hopkins, as this would bring in the HBO money. but dawson isn't interested in cruiser, he's interested in the lucrative super middleweight fighters. and hopkins was too difficult to deal with and is looking elsewhere.)

i just think perhaps there is an outside chance of danny green challenging adamek based on what green did to an american, jones, and due to the fashion that he did it.

what are the PPV #s like for green's fights? does he sell loads of PPVs, generate loads of money in australia? or perhaps i should ask, would he, against a daunting, elite champion?

I just want him to pick a division first, i think at either weight he will be a force, don't know why people think that it will effect his ability.

I hope he has a couple of fights at LT Heavy for titles and bigger names(no BHOP), then have a cruiser(full weight) fight at the end of next year.

anyway, something more concrete has now happened. green and hopkins reaching out to each other. we will see what happens. i don't like the idea of green vs a spoiler. i would like to see him in a war. but if he can get home advantage, and also with hopkins not being a hurtful fighter above middleweight, and with hopkins being more of a "name" - it is a good chance for green. and if they can put on that "super card", wth darchinyan-donaire 2 as co-main event, then get it on!

also, adamek has his big opportunity. april 24 on HBO boxing after dark, v chris arreola. definitely, no chance of green v adamek. both men would appear to have their big opportunities coming up.

it was interesting weighing up the chances of adamek-green, but now there's no point as different things have happened.
