It all depends what Witter wants. He's got to have the desire otherwise he's not going to win. Maybe he could fight Selcuk Aydin for the European title?

Witter could comeback at 147 and probably put himself in contention for a belt, but if he goes in with a solid world class opponent he'll be a step behind and get beat. Witter has built a reputation of Hatton. His resume is decent, nothin more, everytime he stepped up to fight a current world class fighter he got comprehensivly beaten. Maybe if he'd kept his mind on his own career instead of Hatton's he might've had more success.

But the fact remains if Witter would've kept winning he wouldn't have needed Hatton. Hatton has a career and resume that doesn't need Witter, shame Witter couldn't build a career without Hatton...

I'd like to see Witter back at Welter.

He's a decent fighter on his day and certainly better than a lot of the dross about at the moment.

Why would I be trying to offend you?

The idea that Hatton ducked a guy who has never beaten a reigning world champion in his entire career but fought the best two fighters of his era just doesn't really add up. I'm not saying he didn't duck Witter, but by and large he ducked him for a bigger payday, higher reward and better fighter.

The only point I'm making is that Witter should've worried about his own career instead of spending his time worrying about what Hatton was up to....

As times passes so you hear different things.
I was always firmly in the "Hatton's avoiding him" club, but recently I was told by a very reliable source that the fight could have been made but Witter wanted pay parity, and wasn't prepared to take the thin end of the wedge, which ironically would still have been one of his best pay days.
I don't know what to believe anymore - and sadly it is now totally irrelevent.
The moment was missed. At the correct time it would have been a classic.

He still has a lot to offer I dont think he should quit the Welterweight Domestic scene is really good I know a fight between him and Brook wont happen but there are plenty other fights out there for him
