WE SHOULD START A SWAP THREAD AND MAKE IT PERMANENT.

I HAVE BEEN TRADING COPIES OF SOME OF MY GOODIES WITH BRONCANO. I HAVE COPIED SOME OF MY TAPES AND GIVEN HIM STUFF HE DOESN'T HAVE (CHARLIE BURLEY VS OAKLAND B. SMITH, LANGFORD VS FLYNN, FULLMER-FLORENTINO FERNANDEZ, AZUMAH NELSON VS JUVENAL ORDENEZ ETC) AND HE HAS RESPONDED BY GIVING ME STUFF I DON'T HAVE -SUCH AS MAURO MINA FIGHTS. IT'S EASY IN OUR CASE, BECAUSE WE BOTH LIVE IN THE SAME TOWN, BUT ARRANGEMENTS COULD BE MADE WITH OUT OF TOWNERS VIA MAIL, UPS OR FEDEX.

I AM WILLING TO TRADE AND THERE'S PROBABLY A LOT OF US WHO COULD BENEFIT FROM SUCH A THREAD.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THIS?

Could be done like this.

I have a color -no sound- copy of Gene Fullmer-Florentino Fernandez -the full fifteen round fight. Who wants a copy and what do you have that is interesting to me?

Once we establish a trade then it's up to the mails, etc. Some will get screwed sending out and not getting anything back, but it would only happen once, because we could put on this thread that so-and-so is not reliable.

This thread would serve as a bulletin board for general purposes, but certain details can be taken care of by private e-mail.

Videos are the easiest but some collectors might have duplicate books, posters etc. I think it would serve a good purpose and help all of us increase the size of our private collections.

Great idea,

I'm currently looking for fight posters, spice up my new place a bit. I guess i'm getting too old for putting up posters of black chicks.

Does anyone have any duplicates?(boxing posters that is)

I have all the Dodgy Euro/Heavyweight implosion fights you ever dreamed of. We'll sort something out with the FTP

Some of the interesting stuff I have that is not very common:

Ken Buchanan -Frankie Otero I

Big Bill Tate- Kid Norfolk

The only known Greb film -probably at Philadelphia Jack O'Brien's gym- and a series of interviews, outakes with Tommy Burns, Tommy Ryan, Jeffries and Corbett -all talking- and a interview -statement by Kid MCoy when he was released from prison.

Florentino Fernandez-Gene Fullmer -colorized, no sound.

Burley-Oakland Billy Smith- Only known film of Burley.

Sam Langford with Jim Flynn -1910 Colma- and a short half-burnt piece of Langford-Lang

A Spanish documentary on Happy Lora -Yours truly was the scriptwriter.

Azumah Nelson-Juvenal Ordenez - I was the broadcast commentator.

Quite a few Cuban boxers: Kid Chocolate, Luis Rodriguez, Florentino Fernandez, Omelio Agramonte, Sugar Ramos, Jose Napoles, Kid Gavilan.

A copy of the 1930's movie -The Great John L.

And a lot of other stuff. Let's start trading!
