Mercer vs morrison boxed earlier in their careers as amateur

Just found this on youtube never realised what tommy record was as an amateur and that he boxed ray in the olympic trials, if he beat him went to olympics and won gold...............maybe his career would of been different??

He won 49 out of 50 before he started amateur boxing in 1976. By 1988, he had a record of 222-20. As a professional he won the IBO and WBO Heavyweight Title.
